  • Hard News: The Minister's Brain Has Exploded, in reply to Cameron Pitches,

But perhaps this whole thing is going to backfire for the Government. iPredict has Labour winning Auckland Central up 3% this morning to 26%..

Not likely - the people will show much love to our beloved leader First Citizen John Key the First. He is most beloved and have much skill at making good feeling from disaster - this is mark of his great goodness.

Happy, happy smiling peoples everywhere wearing John Key Badges.

Govt take over fan zones to show people they happy and can party long time - No problem for you, no problem for me, no problem for First Citizen John Key the First.

Rate payer spends $2 million more on bus to standby train as train no good - problem solved.

Open up more wharf space, move cargo, spend more ratepayer money - extra wharf space not suitable - people fall off wharf - too bad no worry - no problem - water is soft - people can swim in water - problem solved.

    Much love and big ups,

Murray McCully - Special Envoy for Beloved First Citizen of the National New Zealand People’s Democratic Republic.

  • Hard News: The Minister's Brain Has Exploded,

For me there are three sad things.

The first saddest thing is the way that it is going or has just gone and the political dimension to it all.

The next saddest thing is that this is about the best we can expect, after 4 years of planning, from Central and Local Govt and also the Corporations in receipt of massive Public Transport subsidies.

The third saddest thing is that the focus is on things one and two and not the thing is should be – the Games and the people.

Our beloved leader First Citizen John Key the First ( The teflon John) has by way of insulation first set up Len Browne and then patsy number two Murray Mccully. I was surprised not to see this move reported in mafiatoday.com.

I would guess Mccully is a glove puppet with beloved leader First Citizen John Key the First as the hand unseen.

Some good news a brave and happy thing:

IMHO - The whole RWC downtown event - the Great Booze up Party Central emphasis, the transport failure and finger pointing, the lack of toilets, the Waka crew crowding and assault and when they returned to the Waka they found they had been used as receptacles for discarded beer bottles and cigarette buts - has become churlish in the extreme.

4 years of planning and this is the face we present.

Yes - the only way that "we" can save ourselves is to behave like a one party communist state - that one party being National and NZ becoming the National New Zealand People's Democratic Republic.

I am surprised that citizen Key and Co didn't pass a GFC Empowering Act .

The following - adapted from a Bob Beresford post on Radiolive website.

    Message to fellow Citizens,

Len Brown very bad, he idiot, he the problem we make this clear, This never happen again in Party Central District, when we properly host next Rugby World Cup celebration real good time everybody have.

First we have spontaneous demonstration of affection for our Beloved Leader – John Key the First - with the only working NZ army LAV driving around square in circles, round and round, as happy workers army of mens and womens march around - perfect step - all their feet going up down, up down, up down, then they salute as they pass by Supreme Leader John key. He is sitting on balcony with benevolent smiling look, smiling at happy people who love him, all marching around Party Central with feet going up down, up down, all afternoon.

Happy revolutionary guards of Young National Party all around, smiling, everybody smiling and very happy. Happy, happy smiling peoples everywhere wearing John Key Badges.

Tourists can enjoy this display and then take trains to Rugby games and closing ceremony which is more better than Len Brown party but not as good as military display for birthday of beloved father of country First Citizen John key the First.

Who needs rugby then? Okay, we can do it anyway First Citizen so generous to people of world. No problems with trains, no problem with Len Brown. Too many people getting on train? - We take them off and take them away for questioning and cultural re-integration. Okay, if they stay on train torture worse no problem we have them disappear, no problem for them, no problem for me, no problem for you.

People on railway tracks?! No good. We make them push broken LAV around and around in circles then we show them love. They not understand how to love and respect Supreme Leader and they stop train from being on time, they most ungrateful. They make mistake of leftist ideology. Big mistake not to love first citizen..

Everyone else very happy to see games in National New Zealand People’s Democratic Republic, and also show much love to our beloved leader First Citizen John Key the First.

Rugby World Cup very easy. In National New Zealand People's Democratic Republic everyone very happy, very organised and very much love a lot of supreme leader John Key the First.

    Much love and big ups,

Murray McCully - Special Envoy for Beloved First Citizen of the National New Zealand People’s Democratic Republic.

The lift in play of the minows is in no small part to the the roll of ex All blacks in coaching positions developing the game and skill levels.

It would be great to see Warren Gatland and Todd Blackadder go forth as the next great AB coaching dynasty - I don't think the ozzies will be willing to let Deans go.

Just a thought - As a matter of contrast - I think with Clarke as Prime Minister we would right now likely be delighted as the approach to RWC (and the opening) would have been to under promise and over deliver. This would have been achieved by an attention to detail and Clarke's office keeping things in check.

Contrast this to Key's approach, which appears, photo opportunity first and everything else a very distant second. I felt in Key's short opening speech he sounded drunk and meaningless and presented as an embarrassment.

To my mind, from the way they both present themselves, neither John Key nor Len Browne have the cognition or wit to deal effectively with the roles they presently hold.

  • Hard News: Just don't call it "Party Central", in reply to Craig Ranapia,

I'm reliably informed there were people who were in distress on halted trains who notified train staff, were promptly (and safely) attended to. It's not pleasant being on a crowded, stuffy train or bus, especially when it's been delayed. But having seen the trauma train drivers go through after a work-related fatality, I'm rather short of sympathy for people who were so damn irresponsible.

I am informed that the converse took place; and that NZ Rail employees, who just happened to be in the vicinity at the time, marshalled people off trains and onto the berm safely - where I would guess they made their own way to the game.

At 7.55 PM we drove from Mt Eden to Newmarket - to the down side of the Domain - to see the fireworks - the drive took about 3 minutes.

At about 8.20 PM we drove from Newmarket to Mt Eden, it took all of about six minutes and we passed a train and felt sorry for those left on it - we did see another train .at the Wynyard Street Level crossing somewhat depleted of passengers making ti way to Eden Park.

We were home to witness the Haka, the response and the kick off on TV..

I have worked in Public Transport and there is a culture of under and not reporting of failures and near misses that could result in a fatality.

There are many reasons Public Transport needs to go back into Public Ownership and none that I can think of that support persisting with the current situation.
