    I have osteoarthritis.

At 40 I discovered I have quite bad Osteoarthritis in my jaw. It makes masticating quite painful and I was warned against taking a serious knock to the chin. So I wear a full-face helmet on my scooter. Seems safer.

The alternative is … the men’s group. Sweet Jesus, no.

Actually, I've never really talked to men about this kind of thing, so this is kind of refreshing, but having women in the discussion just makes it feel more normal, and safer, somehow.

Hilary, we have both foster children and adopted children in our immediate and extended family, so it is something I would consider.

I have to admit I think that all us wimmins should be quiet and let the men talk about men things.

No really, that wouldn't be nearly as much fun. Confessionals are much better when wimmins are involved.

    What did I just say?

  • Speaker: Medical Journal, Chapter V,

Since reading the questions they might ask, I’ve been playing out the scenario in my head. I imagine something along these lines.

“Since the little buggers could barely swim prior to the assisted procreation we received with the helpful input of Demi-gods Richard and Mary, and the fact the only reason I’m here at all is due to our third lovely daughter, snowball, whose very existence makes me believe in miracles, I think we’re good”.

As to the bottled manhood, up until recently we had “other options”. And while my comment here may seem otherwise glib, that whole process and decision making was not something we took at all lightly.

Someone did say this was a Mens Group, right?

    ETA:

Where my denial/sublimation peeps at? :)

I'm assuming that's not along party lines, so I could join. ;-)

who let a girl into the mens group?

Five [edit after recount] last I counted. But who’s counting? Perspective. Yes. Important.

At least it wasn’t macaroni salad

Certainly for comic purposes I considered macaroni cheese, but thought I’d be honest, since we’re sharing. Quite apart from not needing that particular visual imagery.

Caution. Do not read this thread while sitting alone in cafe for lunch. Innocent bystanders might wonder why you let out a yelp, crossed your legs violently, and looked sideways at the meat pie in front of you.

+1 on Gerald Young at AKL City Med Clinic.

With all this free advertising, maybe he’ll do a group discount for PAS.

No, actually, possibly not the circumstances I’d most like to meet you all in. “So how did the defoliation go for you?” [Looks at area in question] “Not bad, thanks. And you?”

All in all a great outing for couples.

It’s probably not far away from being a candidate for tourism dollars. “Trip and Snip Downunder”. Our Tourism minister would be up for that I’m sure.

Hey Paul W, the stories we could share. About sleepless nights I mean, not the conjugal visits thing (denial). Oh whatever, I resemble that argument.
