Although I guess there would be tidal issues ...
But not with a hovercraft :-)

The teaser trailer is also on the official site in higher resolution QuickTime format. Not much else there yet, but stay tuned.

Hot recipes for cold Connecticut nights?
Welcome back Jolisa (I know you can hear us over there in the kitchen). If you can find an approximation for the ingredients, this recipe is real comfort food, from the owner/sometime chef of North Shore restaurant The Engine Room.

Big thanks to Nat and team for the organisation, as I said to him before leaving, I learned a great deal and hopefully contributed a little too.
Russell seems to have the greatest hits nicely accounted for. A particular highlight for me was an impromptu discussion with Robert O'Callahan and Shift's Che Tamahori and Ross Howard. Talking with the chief Gecko engineer from an interaction designer/typographer's point of view was both fascinating and instructional (for both sides), and to think, he does it all from his sun room in Mt Eden.

Actually PA got BoingBoinged way back in 2005, after Russell linked to the Starlords movie.
RB didn't link to Starlords from memory: Boing Boing linked directly to it, the two sites (Starlords and PA) just happened to be hosted on the same server, and it was bandwidth issues that clogged things up (our hosting provider thought we were the victim of a denial of service attack and did the equivalent of slamming the door shut). But... probably due to the fact they reproduced a decent portion of RB's post, PA received fewer than 500 visits directly from Boing Boing yesterday it seems.

Right, I'd only seen the 7-episode set here, thanks for the info.

TV One screened the series as originally made available.
Hmm, that makes sense. The Region 4 DVD set is just the 7 episodes too.

Like Long Way Round, the one where Ewan MacGregor ... and his mate Charley Boorman travel across Kazakhstan, Russia, Mongolia etc. Bloody fantastic.
And we seem to be getting the full 10-episode deal, not the edited 7 eps that screened on TV One a while back? At least, I think that's the case, I'm sure there's footage this time round I don't recall seeing last time. Very compelling.
