Well, all I can say is that there are far too many stretches where there are multiple lanes to cross and the pedestrian crossing is a long way away.
I'm talking about those who choose to cross the road in the midst of traffic when there is a pedistrian crossing or cross walk 10 metres away. Being lazy is not worth getting splattered on to the pavement.

Every day I encounter red light runners, people who don't stop for pedestrian crossings, speedsters in 50kph zones....However, the number of pedestrians who cross roads and don't use the cross walks in AK city is scary - just as bad as the drivers who run red lights.

I agree with RB - anyone who claims to be a peace activist, or indeed any kind of activist, and also endorses violence or the threat of, needs to be clinked.

How do other politicians who are paid by the tax payer manage to do their 'full time jobs' and do radio shows, TV shows, write books at the same time.

Quite a few of the people who were voted in had large non-political public profiles ie. Dancing With the Stars, talkback radio etc.
What does this say?
It says in John Banks' case that he has a guaranteed audience of 100,000 plus radio listeners/voters.
It also says the majority of those listeners are the voters - the whinging, bigoted types who have nothing better to do that prattlle on about their rates and getting rid of 'politcally correctness' etc.
They also tend to be the elderey.
Mr Banks targeted rest homes in his campaigning - I bet most of those people ended up voting for him.So the petrol head now supports public transport eh?
I guesss he doesn't need to ride his gas guzzling Harleys or take his Bently out anymore then?
