Personally, I'm stuck in the '80s with "choice".
Yeah, "choice" was pretty wicked. And "wicked" was pretty massive.
But then, "massive" now means something different than when I was in high school. Still, it was pretty awesome. But 'awesome' is kinda gay.

Have an outstanding Christmas everyone.

the awesome gift pack.
Oh, you're just not paying attention.

Quoting myself:
Personally, I have a real dislike of the phrase (very common in corporations these days) "going forward".
...another one from the corporate world that I hate: "actioned", for when someone has completed or processed something, or simply done something.
Going forward, I'd like to action a freeze on 'awesome''.

er... that comment above was directed at Matthew Littlewood. (Kyle's right: edit function!)

My internet resolution would be to get a bit more involved in the film/music/art/literature discussion here, if the others would let me.
You need our permission now? Or are "the Others" a sinister cabal that secretly runs PAS?
In all seriousness, you should comment more on film/literary/arts matters. You make some interesting points.

Ahh, it all makes sense now. Thanks Mark.
I sometimes wonder if I'm the only person in the industrialised world who doesn't know things like "Chrome is Googles browser... typically stays in beta".. yada yada.
this area is typically called the masthead in newspaper/website parlance
Just FTR, I know what a masthead is, but for some reason just assumed Russell meant the opening page masthead - I hadn't noticed the 'beta' at the top of this page.
-
So you're saying it's safe to ditch the "beta" from the masthead?
I swear I thought about it the other day when they mentioned that Chrome was coming out of beta.
Excuse my ignorance, but what are you two nerds talking about?

Also I would like to second everything [Russell] says about Grant. He listens.
Okay, I think he's been seconded, thirded, and now fourthed.
-
Re Grant Robertson, also seconded. (I seem to be seconding everything Russell says lately.)
I was impressed by his performance at the Aro Valley meet the candidates, and consequently voted for him. I think he'll make a good representative. I'll remember to give him another drunken hug if I'm ever a bit boozed around him. The odds of that are fair.
