Can someone politely explain how the Prime Ministers transgressions where he paid back 32000 dollars last year (I think) effectively admitting his own fraud ( was this apparent crime also committed while in office?) is much different and if it's not then why he also didn't fall on his sword or maybe give up something of the same nature. Or at least explain why the media hasn't gone into a similar fury - I remember some stuff about it in the media but not the same kind of bloodlust.

Yes I get this - my question is - is it only those on the left who care about verifiable facts and if so then does that effect finding a solution to this mess.

I wonder is the understandable fretting about truth and balance only being done by those on the left side of the political spectrum? Or are the humans who count themselves as right or Trumpers or whatever also just as concerned about the apparent deluge of misinformation. If it's only one side that cares then I think that might be also a significant issue in resolving this.

I guess it is all too obvious and depressing.

Or the reality of the market? Our market maybe above any concept of values beyond the almighty dollar.

So beautifully framed by those who need it that this is the left / right thing. This binary should be irrelavant.Campbell is on the left blah blah Why can't you just critisise, hold govt. to account for telling lies, bullying, acting immorally just cos thats a shit way to act? Whether you normally vote Act, Greens, Labour etc....should be irrelavant - govt should be able to be held up against normal standards of the right wrong and good - and if Cambell has even shown any bias then it is surely only towards fairness, decency, having empathy etc...if that is his crime and the reason he got dumped then it really does reflect a fucked up place and set of values.

I have Sky being hooked up specifically for this tomorrow. What sold me in a weak moment was general super excitement for this tournament and cricket in general plus only a six month contract. I think that is what I signed anyhow. Previous experiences have left me with a bad, empty taste in my mouth. In letting this company into my home I had a sinking feeling - like signing up with a ham fisted leech salesman. I also dread having a bad day in the quarter finals - the let down public will rise up and castigate with impunity. One day cricket is great and our team looks strong all over but bad days can happen. Does not suddenly make this team useless.Test cricket is still a more reliable guide to who is best. Just please lord give us a little luck this one time. I will allow gaudy graphics and stupid histrionics as long as we win.

That was a particularly bland interview.
