Hard News: Meanwhile in Epsom ..., in reply to
Avondale was quite teh place back in the day.
Actually the Banks' lived in East St, Newton. JB went to Avondale College because Auckland Grammar rejected his application. John Banks has a habit of giving out copies of his biography (which is how it appeared on my bookshelves) - I guess that prevents it from ending up in the remaindered bin at Whitcoulls.

MoH advises lots of fluids. And cuddles.
I believe that would be Colin's specialty.

Hard News: Kittens and puppies for happiness, in reply to
You shut your evil mouth Jackie - Colin was not fleeing!! He was merely allowing the dog a temporary feeling of dominance until Colin was ready to put The Plan in to action.

There are those, of course, who perceive feline intelligence as a threat, and believe that if we let them, the cats will one day move against us.
I've read Russell's words. I've seen Colin's eyes. I'm sure there is a very real threat!!

My Dad had the big cut in the early seventies, and a few years later ended up in a feature article about the subject in the Weekend Herald. I must look it up - it has one of the few family portraits ever taken of us by a professional photographer.
He spent a few days after the op talking in a high voice just to freak out the guys at his work..

No, but here's your money quote: "in time for next year’s Rugby World Cup"
I think you'll find it is this year's RWC.... fortunately it is just 360 days until we can refer to it as last year's RWC.

In the trite news section, apparently David Bain is short of both cash and a woman in his life. That took Herald space two days in a row.

The Peel family only made it to number 3 in the competition - but there was some pretty stiff competition and they made (as always) a damn fine show!!

I'm surprised no-one has thought of calling International Rescue - I'm sure Thunderbird 2 has a mine rescue pod.
