Another cricketing memory, being denied by Paddles for an autograph when I was about 7 at Mclean park after a test match. Selfish prick!

I was a bit young to remember the beige days properly (I do remember the theme tune to the channel 9 cricket though). But I remember fondly the young guns days of Pringle (with the highlighter zinc), and Chris Harris (with hair). Followed by the glory days of the 1992 world cup, and the first time I shed tears over sport (but not the last)...

To be honest I thought the same thing when Taylor went and when Styris looked shaky to start with, but he seemed to thrive on the anger. Great quote from The Age

The craziest (and coolest) thing I saw was the skiers who raced down and did jumps against four other people. Great stuff. More of that and less curling which always seemed to be on when I was watching, sometimes on three channels at a time

@BlairMacca, I'm picking that being a former international snowboarder (5th at the US open Snowboarding champs) probably indicates Hayley Holt has a little knowledge of winter sport. Whether that makes her a good sports reporter is a different issue...
Ouch, sorry stupidity on my part. I'm not big up on snowboarding, I thought she was only a ballroom dancer.
Having said that she is an appalling presenter, I saw an interview with her at the sevens just before the final where she was asked who would win the final and she said "go the New Zealand team" despite us being knocked out in the semi's....

I usually like The crowd goes wild, but it just didn't work for this. I guess the main grizzle there would be having someone who knows sweet FA about any kind of sports (Hayley Holt) presenting. The presenting team seemed pretty minimal, although it was the Winter Olympics so not really a huge thing for us. Will be interesting to see how the Summer version goes for Sky.

I am certainly not a lets convert everyone christian, for me it's a personal belief and I leave it at that. These people on the other hand are turning themselves into the thing they are trying to argue against.
Also I could be wrong, but isn;t it slightly ironic that the bus campaign is "There probably isn't a god..." Doesn't that make them agnostics then???

I remember being hoarse after this game I was screaming so much -
In the end, it really came down (points wise) to an intercept try. We could have pulled out a miracle to win but that didn't happen.
I'm not sure what I hate more, actually losing, or listening to everyone come down so hard after one loss. It is just one loss, to a good team with our team virtually a third strong outfit. You forget that last season we lost two games the whole season. We, as a country, really need to learn how to suck it up and take a loss.
