I remember the breast club! It was ace. I wanted to contribute, but I couldn't get some alone time with the scanner at my parents' place.

  • Summer Holiday,

Tell me if this is a common phenomenon but I can smell Auckland from the top of the Bombays, does anyone else experience this also? It just reeks.

Are you sure it's Auckland (which is rather far away) and not the Bombays themselves? I mean, there's a McDonald's up there.

  • Hard News: Grandpa,

It's been a brilliant year with Public Address.

  • Summer Holiday,

    Here's my poem:

I'm getting a Wii for Christmas.
I have nothing to complain about.

  • Island Life: Staring into space,

That space photo with the speech balloon made me laugh so hard. I cannot explain the joke to my international cyber pals.

I spend a lot of the day sitting in front of a computer. At work I toil away, working towards something that will benefit people in ways that, if done right, they won't even notice. At home, I muck around and have fun and do cool stuff. I think the astronauts would be more amused by what goes on at work, but I'm more amused by what happens at home.

  • Summer Holiday,

Did anyone happen to catch the BandAid show last night?

It confirmed what I had long suspected - most of the pop stars had shown up in the morning after a hard right, and yet looked totally awesome because of the underlying power of their big '80s hair.

And Boy George just knew that George Michael was gay.

  • Yellow Peril: The gift that keeps on giving,

    That video was Badd!

Me thought it was also rather Color-ful! Early '90s R&B had it coming.

But, yeah, I love me some Timberlake, and I like me some Samberg, but this seasonal combination is lethally awesome.

I watched it five times in a row last night and have been inflicting it upon everyone.

  • Summer Holiday,

Pissing down in Wellington, two days pre-holiday.

Hang on, there's no pronoun in that sentence, leaving it delightfully ambiguous* as to what is pissing down. Is it the clouds in the skies above, or is it someone who's had too much eggnog to drink?

    * Context will be ignored in the interests of comedy.

  • Hard News: A little patch of turf,

Oooh - I totally bow to your MySpace ninja-ing ...

It happened that last night I pasted the links (and made bad jokes about the photos) to a friend who didn't have a MySpace account (and is therefore probably not a killer). So fortunately that left me with a nice record of the custard tin, comedy tie, et cetera.

  • Hard News: A little patch of turf,

I was looking at Stephens' MySpace page last night. It's easy to think of serial killers as being subhuman, evil creatures, but when you see a basic, neglected (not updated since October) MySpace page with a few photos and bits and pieces, it makes it all seem so shockingly ordinary.

His account may have been deleted, but the photos still remain up on MySpace (at least for now)

    The eyes (__of a killer?__)
    Funny toy car
    Comedy tie
    Can of custard powder
    Stick-on glow-in-the-dark ceiling stars

He does have a certain Norman Bates look to him, but the photos are all pretty run-of-the-mill wacky, zany MySpace pics.
