Today Mr. Harold Bored, deputy assistant conspiritor of threat assement guesswork issued the following statement.
"It is with grave concern that I feel I must issue this statement. I have been informed by the New Zealand Police B.S.T.S.U (better safe than sorry unit) that there may be a bomb under your chair. I urge all members of the public to sit quietly while we assess the situation. Under no cicumstanses should you attempt to investigate this possibility for yourselves as any movement on your part may trigger these devices that may or may not be fitted with motion detecting detonators"
Mr. Bored went on to say that "It is reasonable to suspect that there maybe a bomb under my chair and I urge everybody to be vigilant. We will be keeping an eye on previously unknown groups"
Sources close to Mr Board said that they felt threatened and thought the rest of New Zealand should feel that too as this was seriously desturbing. Others, not so close to Mr. Bored said he was definitly disturbed.
In an apparently unrelated incident a dessicated corpse was discovered under the bed of well known talkback show host, Latent Myth. Police foresic examiner, Mary Hinge, said "We belive the body to be that of Red Commie who has been missing since the late seventies"

Thank you blindjackdog for taking the time to compose such a well rounded observation and padding out what I have been saying all along, I just tend to type furiously and tend to lose my point.
I just don't get how a couple of weeks ago everyone would say "I'm waiting to see the evidence of what actually happened before I draw any firm conclusions."
This is the part that has been worrying me. It's a bit like the term "terrorist" in that it has been bandied about so much that it becomes "the phrase" and ignores the fact that if the tsa charges had stuck then 16 people could have rotted in jail for two years while we all sat around saying "let's wait and see"
Hang on 16 17 ? is someone missing here? are there more?
I could say more but a helicopter is hovering over my house, but let's wait and see eh? -

Not really.
Hypothesis= The idea you want to investigate.
Theory= The idea you have after investigating.
Not necessarily a scientific idea but a scientific process.
If you catch my drift. -

How about this for a theory.
A group of activists deliberatly fed disinformation to the police in order to force them to act before the TSA amendment was passed thus bringing the proposed amendment to the attention of the wider public ? -
So. On the timing of the raids, anyone got any ideas?

Had the warrants been issued after the amendment to the TSA was passed would the result have been any different, if so how?
also, the police must have know about the amendment debate so the timing is of the essence. Is it not?.
I have niggling doubts/fears about the motivation behind this whole thing and still can't figure who sparked the decision to go ahead with the raids. The history of the "hunters" who reported the suspicious goings on in Tahoe country needs looking at. Is there a connection between the $75 billion dollar fraud and so called terrorist groups in this country. Who knows?. -
