In case Neil Gaiman fans hadn't noticed, Stardust is on TV3 tonight (Tuesday 10 Jan) at 7.30pm - ad astra - with ads, sadly! -

The messing links…
…corporate stakeholders as well. Like Hendo…
Does it count if the stake is held through their heart…
Transparency doesn’t mean dealing with folk
that don’t show up in mirrors……and unfortunately we were corporately holding
Henderson’s stake, so to speak - still are –
council never insured one of the buildings
(Para Rubber) fell over, so that’s gone now
expensive piece of council land that…
(dunno what happened to Wells Street buildings
- where Hendo had stored his Russian jet fighter…) -

Not defending Marryatt but it's likely 'par for the course' for deal-making executives, like cocktail parties are.
in the business world, yes..
in the city-running world
not so much, I'd hope... -
give us a hand…
the Mayoral Relief Fund
I note it doesn’t give a balance of how much is left either…
and nothing distributed since October!
I hope they didn’t contribute to the crappy
ChoiceCHCH pop up picnic promotional signage…
Teed off…
I also note Tony Marryatt’s old golfing record has disappeared from the Golf Records website – probably too late now that he has been outed as having played golf on two of the weekends he “worked without a break” and also played golf several working weekdays as well!
all that’s there now is a game last Tuesday, which was the last day of his holiday as far as I can work out… (Good that his first thought on actually returning to the City was to play golf…)
I wonder if some diligent reporter at The Press or somewhere can track down the record of Marryatt’s behaviour at Hamilton Council when he forced a senior manager (who I believe clashed with Marryatt) to resign over one small infraction, all because Marryatt said no one was above the rules (or similar tone) while I now believe Marratt has brought the council in Chch into disrepute, transgressed spending limits or by passed by breaking into smaller blocks, and playing golf on workdays must be no-no too… -

the briefing that there would be no 6s
(but large tremors for decades!)Can we start a lottery on the 10,000th shake
maybe on different criteria
- Location
- Size

with a bigger prize if ya get two right
and a massive trifecta!NB: This was someone else’s idea in The Press comments page
after I suggested a special celebration for the 10,000th shake…

or at least harness
their improbability… -

Taking it to the man...
What is so important about 1 Feb & Marryatt's job?
There is to be an organised rally at the Council building (at high noon) protesting his pay rise - which by then, I would imagine, will have escalated to a call for his resignation...

Statue Tory Rap...
An earthquake tourism feature to look forward to.
Nice one, he is after all the fallen plinth of dorkness...
Someone posted this useful guide to the seven habits of spectacularly unsuccessful executives amongst Marryatt's Press commenters today, it is on the money, John Key fits quite well, as well...
