Mark, out of hand sounds fun. You email them, I'll upload them.

Was considering this, then Paul William's lament about "back to politics" made me realise Parliament was on shortly so thought I would see if I could watch and hear any vivid language.
However just a wee quick note. I got the images of my brain scan and managed to enhance a little with colour (hence my gravatar) and then my dad made me a necklace with the staples that were removed from my head. My mum thought ewwww. My dad thought funny. I laughed:)

  • Island Life: More billboards,

I just get rather squicky about children being used as campaign props, full stop.

That must be one hell of a squick there Craig.:) Bearing in mind, children ( all humans) are constantly used in advertising, whether TV, magazines, junk mail, shop windows ,nappies, fast/slow food etc. and that ads try to portray the image of "wont somebody think of the children", this one seems rather clever. I guess if your main focus is the environment, who better than children, to remind the voter that it is the kids who will be effected for the most part. Because they are not in the house, it does not mean they should be kept from the concerns of the Greens, so imagery is a relatively harmless point of squick (I guess)

It's also a positive advert about the party and what they stand for without attacking the other side (accurately or inaccurately). Nice to see that in politics still.

That was my impression also. I thought it's message simple and precise.

  • Hard News: The out-of-control manchild…,

But, as of next week week, Media7 will have only one break.

    Nice to hear.

He welcomed the female members of the panel by commenting on their appearance - said they looked smart or stunning (can't recall the exact word). Nothing that wrong with saying people look smart as a welcoming thing, but there noticeably weren't any similar comments about the males on the panel -

Fashion is of particular interest to Wallace(shoes particularly), so I suspect his not commenting, was probably because he didn't like the clothes the guys were wearing, and I think that is really just polite.

  • Hard News: Go Us,

    Huh?

but I know that I wouldn't have had the same reaction to a daddy heading back to work after three days.

Well, physically, that's a no brainer. He ain't stitched up and the rest of it. Most people just do what any couple plans to do that will work for them, and, get back to whatever they gotta do. I feel like I 'm getting sucked into the matrix here. Cheezes! (rant over)

Then there's that vile urine-colored beer that's supposed to be accompanied by a slice of lemon,

And that's only because you guys don't know how to drink Tequila, that beer was even necessary. ;-)
