I refuse to have my laziness and economic protest at the price of razors be objectified as a sex toy!
It is possible that I'm doing an astroturfing campaign for a razor company in order to sell more blades. Next up: the cool kids shave off one eyebrow. Which one you choose is totally how you can define yourself...

Joanna easily making the most sense on this thread

An alternative/complement to Movember is the inaugural Choptober. (Disclaimer: one of my mates is the co-founder). 100% of donations go to the five NZ charities being represented and it avoid problems with moustache disliking girlfriends.
At my work we've done movember for the last few years and choptober this year and I have to say on the style front we are looking more like victorian england than a miami vice appreciators convention like usual. Just need to source some top hats...

Just need to source some top hats...
Mine was made by Hills Hats, purchased from the most unlikely of outlets: Comrades' army surplus store in James Smith market.

As a lady, I am firmly of the opinion that moustaches are only permitable if they exist only to increase the sensation delivered to my lady parts.
In the past I would have gladly sought such permission, but I think my wife may object now?
The year I participated, my co-workers took to calling me Ned Flanders. It was reasonably apt.

How will you know unless you ask?
"Honey, can I grow a moustache so I can perform cunnilingus on some girl who posts on a message board on the internet?"...

95% of men with moustaches look like Ned Flanders.

How will you know unless you ask?
I decided , for the purpose of a scientific experiment, to make such an enquiry.
I have been informed:
1) proceeding with such a plan could lead to divorce.
2) Such is my skill, you needn't be too disappointed! -

I dispute that figure on the grounds that Ned Flanders has a kick-ass moustache(a-rino) and very few guys get to that level

I'm gonna go off-topic (in this case, to avoid the fact that if I were to grow a 'tache it would look like someone had tried to pluck the hairs out with tweazers and left off half way through), in order to promote the Mighty Bay's defeat of Canterbury this evening.

the Mighty Bay's defeat of Canterbury this evening.
One thing for sure. The record for the lowest attendance at an NPC semi is going to get smashed into little pieces tonight.
-
Maybe they should have quorum rule?
If the host is unable to get, say, 2,000 spectators, the visiting team wins by default.
-
Kids getting in free tonight apparently. And not just the ones carrying the “I hate Auckland” signs either.
Paul, is my friend that nice Mr. Newland playing tonight?
-
I believe he is, but with no All Blacks to face his main talent isn't relevant tonight.

That, sirs, is a fancy hat indeed.

I await the Hawkes Bay faithful

Well, that was an anti-climax to end the season. Hawkes Bay didn't fire a shot.
I think the team gets talked up far to much down in the bay - they are often guilty of turning up to games with the match already won in their heads.
Oh well, the rugby season is over for another year. Summer is almost here, time for the distant drone of lawnmowers on somnolent, sunny Sunday afternoons and saturation cricket commentaries on the radio, as Brian Waddell describes nothing happening for a hour in Central Districts vs. Otago in stultifying heat and under a Cathedral blue sky in Alexandria...
-
sigh
I imagine, that is the value of experience, one team can't wait to show what it can do, and the other knows the value of patience .
so it goes
In fairness, the Bay this season lost to Southland, Wellington, Waikato & Canterbury, and three of those four finished higher.
Still, at least Ipswich got their first win of the season, so it wasn't all doom & gloom.
