  • giovanni tiso,

    Well done you guys.

I understand you can't blare about everything, but I've long since thought there could be a wee space for PA radio in the blog column, something as basic as a couple of lines on what's on that week and a link to the stream. It's an odd omission in a way.

  • Hilary Stace,

I agree with Giovanni. I try to listen to One in Five on Radio NZ at that time but would really like more info about PA Radio and what's coming up that week - and how to find it on radios usually allergic to commercial stations. BTW Happy Birthday Craig.

  • recordari,

It's always much better when others... Wait... Is there a better way to say that?

Anyhoo, well done, and as Gio said, I have dug out Craig's 90 second posts a few times, and appreciated it, but they tend to leave me wanting more.

Hmm, on reflection, I think I should have stopped about 6 lines back...

Fair call. It's just that I don't do the show every week, so I don't always know. But I'll ... do that.

  • David Hood,

    Well done all.

Since it's Friday, I thought I'd throw in a video, and since it's the day before the Parks march, I thought it would be the one I made earlier this week as part of the material I am accumulating

  • Grant McDougall,

Russell, I urge you to indeed see Street Chant at your earliest opportunity.

I saw them supporting the 3Ds and though they were outstanding. They're somewhere on the Sonic Youth - My Bloody Valentine - effects pedals for Africa continuum which I'm a sucker for, so if that's your bag, go see !

  • Kyle Matthews,

Russell, I urge you to indeed see Street Chant at your earliest opportunity.

Everyone tells me while the 3Ds were good, Street Chant blew them off the stage as the intro act.

  • Zippy Gonzales,

And I've just been contacted and assured that the Law Commission WILL accept submissions on its Privacy Act review after today, and until the end of May.

I have similar assurances that the Law Commission are accepting submissions on their Controlling and Regulating Drugs discussion paper until the end of May as well.

  • Craig Ranapia,

There have been lots of people involved in making the show, but I'd like to make special mention of two: Craig Ranapia, whose finely worked commentaries put better-known opinionists to shame; and Glynis Bartlam, our technical producer, who is patient, unflappable, effective and unfailingly sweet.

Aw, pish tosh. If anyone makes me sound "finely worked" (as opposed to neurotically worked up) it's all down to Glynis. I'm going to have to work the very fine line between appreciative hugs and workplace harassment next Thursday.

  • Craig Ranapia,

And if I could be excused for whorish self-promotion, Public Address Radio (and yours truly) got a mention in National Radio's Mediawatch today, in an item on the Poppy-gate controversy.

The show will be repeated tonight (Sunday) after the 10pm news, and a podcast posted here afterwards.
