Turns out, I broke it.
I had no idea that ClickToFlash/ClickToPlugin would actually alter the embed code when I saved/refreshed in our WYSIWYG CMS.
Diagnosed by Dr Matt and fixed so it won't happen again.

Just a natural flow on from being able to read the music by looking along the vinyl grooves?
The scariest part is I suspect you aren't kidding. I got my MIDI-USB stick today - any recommendations for software? On Windows.

I'm pretty much convinced that Muldoon was very small and the 'big' head simply an optical illusion caused by clever TV angles, the fumes of the ever present gin, and the use of 70s brothel creepers.

Ah, but can you really? I don't claim to be an expert on this but the late, great Ian Morris once gave me a quick private lecture on "the loudness wars" which is where mastering people get songs to sound loud, particularly for the radio. To do this the tops and bottoms of the waveform are cut off. So you can actually have a waveform that's just a big black block. You wouldn't be able to tell if the song was any good by looking at it. I realise you were joking of course, just thought it was interesting. This video explains it better.

Oh – I was up until 3 am this morning beating my head against YouTube’s import filter. Turns out that it required the audio to be Lame encoded rather than AAC (even though YouTube specifies AAC in its own documentation). It’s now on YouTube here:

And I should make it clear that, of course, I think none of those dreadful things about Ms Ryan – who, on the sole occasion that I have talked to her off-mic, was extremely kind and lovely (even nicer than she seems on the radio).
Also, that when improvising on a theme, it turns out that not everything that comes into my head should be said aloud. There’s a couple of bits I wish I hadn’t mentioned; I'm still working a brain/mouth filter system for this sort of situation. My written notes consisted only of the words: “Don’t mention the pin-head thing.”
And big thanks to Big Ross for all his camera and editing genius. The man is definitely a legend.

I'm really impressed with Vimeo, actually -- although it's a big help to have even the cheapest subscription. It imports and transcodes really quickly, and tells you how it's getting along with that, rather than making you just wait like YouTube does.
Emma's video isn't HD, because it came in between the first freebie HD clip (only one per day) and me paying for the subscription. I'll see if I can upgrade it after the fact.
I'm also signed up now with the Lite paid account on Soundcloud. That's pretty sweet too.
