  • Yamis,

I'd like to see shrek shorn in the middle of Eden park during play in the WC final in 2011.

Anybody see Mr Brown on morning TV today just before 8? I did cos I slept in and my 10 week old was trying to tell me something but I couldn't work it out thus delaying my departure.

So it's pronounced Ha! ger (as in 'gir'l) ?? Or is it Hay-ger ? I got a bit confused by the clarification.

  • Joel Zwartz,

DoC have installed CCS cameras in the few remaining natuve stands left. That must've been expensive, maybe someone should invoice Nicky Hager?

I saw that and couldn't help but chuckle; unintended consequences and all that.

And we should disown Ernest Rutherford for his role in Hiroshima.

  • Manakura,

And we should disown Ernest Rutherford for his role in Hiroshima.

Hmm, yes think my sarcasm went unnoticed in suggesting Hager should be invoiced for the CCS. Besides wouldn't be much point in disowning Rutherford, most people probably think he's Australian...

  • Kyle Matthews,

I suspect changing all those signs and letterheads would be way too expensive for a school these days.

They'll just be henceforth known as named after Ken Rutherford, NZ cricket batsman and captain who's on field performances never seemed to quite justify either position.

  • JohnS,

I would have thought the logic was obvious. Temporary seating as required for Eden Park. Pay for it from sale of tickets. Pull the temporary lot down afterwards and there is no change of impact for the Mt Eden residents around this stadium.

No need for the ratepayers, or government, to be involved at all. As in geometry -- QED.

Or is the Rugby Union trying to build a monument?

As a born and bred Westie let me suggest "Lion Red High School" with "Holden Intermediate" as it's main feeder school. Kid at school today was boozed on gin though.
