  • B Jones,

I think "vexillology" has something going for it, as a new word we've all discovered and debated in recent months in New Zealand. Alternatively, "Red Peak" as a breakout.

If we're going international, "massacre" seems sadly to be all too common these days.

  • Toby,

    Guts.
The PM urged Andrew Little to get some re the troops to Iraq, and Little & co later questioned whether the PM had any re the 501s.
(David Seymour and Marama Fox both boasted of their own political balls, which is similar thematically but different anatomically.)

Serco-cision. The result of insufficient serco-spection when deciding to contract out government services in the hope of cutting both costs and direct accountability.

unfortunately it has been a year of

    Trumps

On a positive note it has seen the rise of "Red Peak" and the failure to rise of "Scout"

'Consent' - a word that has been the subject of much discussion this year in various contexts, but a quality which still seems to be painfully lacking in too many circles.
