will never again aid or assist anyone who has supported it
Gosh, that seems a bit harsh.

And how come chiropractors in NZ now call themselves doctors? Do they have doctorates? Are they medical doctors? Where does this come from?

My experience of the public toilets at work and in other places is that men tend to piss on the seat and floor more than women. That's why women like to use women only toilets - they're cleaner.

here in NZ there is still widespread use of a significantly mutagenic fungicide…a benomyl derivative.
Rosemary, I don't believe Benlate (or Benomyl) is available in New Zealand now. It has certainly not been for sale for domestic use through garden centres for a very long time. I can't see it available for commercial use. I think it was banned after the evidence for birth injuries became clear. I could see one listing for it on Trade Me but the price on the packet was clearly a very old one, so probably out of someone's garage cleanup. If anyone has any good information on current use of this fungicide in NZ I would be interested.

Ten pools on the North Shore? Where are they all? Other than Glenfield, Takapuna, Highbury and the Millenium? Just curious, I'm a swimmer.

I have a friend (mid 30s) who was finally persuaded to go on the electoral roll last year. Now she is a trifle annoyed because officialdom has found her and called her up for jury duty...

I'm interested in the gender part of this discussion. I know women play golf (yes, I have heard of Lydia), but isn't it more a sport for men? Has anyone looked at how many women compared to men play golf in cities? And how many single older women like to walk (alone or with dogs) and ride bikes in parks rather than meet their mates for golf? Also kids and families tend not to play golf so much. The ra ra about shrinking Chamberlain Park to nine holes makes it look different from this perspective. I'm not looking for an argument here, I understand that we all need our places to play.
