So, used clothes and bras are ok? If in good condition of course. (Don't think my old knickers will do anyone any good...) And if one made a regular contribution, is this able to be used as a tax deduction? Might as well ask. Good luck and thanks Jackie.

I just ranked all 36 District Health Board candidates. It took half a day. I had to have a lie down...

As a child I remember George Wilder's fame. There were kids at school who claimed their families left sandwiches out for him on the doorstep. This was an era and place where doors were never locked and the car keys were left in the car. We lived in the country, people would sometimes run out of petrol and Dad would give them a can of farm petrol. Someone once left their watch as security - a few days later the petrol can was back and the watch was gone from the hall table.

I don’t know how people laughed at this
Schadenfreude Konrad, schadenfreude. I think Germans invented the concept, don't know if that tells us anything about humour and culture.

Sorry, tears ran down my face. Of laughter. It must get better now, much better...

The Collection was such a lovely work by Odette Benoit. I really enjoyed how she gently allowed Darcy to tell his story. I recommend it if you haven't already viewed it.

The thing not being talked about is that the risk has been known for over 30 years. Green kiwifruit is all ONE genotype, they are all clones.
Bananas have the same problem. There's a book about it. One day there will be a banana apocalypse.

Information from the Corrections Dept on Kia Marama seems to indicate that it does make a significant difference to recidivism. The study which compared the Kia Marama men with a control group of prisoners prior to the programme operating says that this was not a true control group, in that sex offenders in prison were already a priority for treatment options. In other words, Kia Marama prisoners were not being compared with a completely untreated group. If that were the case perhaps the recidivism rate would look even better. Also, overseas research may not be useful when looking at a programme designed specifically for New Zealanders. Might we have come up with one that works in our culture, perhaps?
