Are the choir all Deaf or just actors like the kid in the wheelchair?
There's some info here about that; also, it seems that Ryan Murphy thinks he's really going into bat for the disabled community all round. Guess it's just in that glib but occasionally meaningful Glee way.

hallucinations are the new 'and i woke and it was all a dream'
They so are. I blame Ghost Whisperer. It's a short leap from "ghosts are real! You can see them!" to "my subconscious is alive! And it's hot!"
I think the end of that Family Guy __Gilmore Girls__ parody might be a Seth McFarlane fantasy, though.

Has anyone been watching Jekyll? Thank the gods for series link on the PVR as it's been screening at 11pm on a Monday night, but it's written by Stephen Moffat, who is taking over Doctor Who . It's been heaps of fun - James Nesbitt looks like he's just loving chewing up all that scenery and Moffat really knows how to write a tense scene or two. Sadly, the final is on Monday, but I can recommend it as a renter fer sure.

How would you know? You watch Shortland Street every night.
OMG! Burned by my own boyfriend! Hey Russ! I'm f**king John Campbell! So there!

Torchwood is great!
Second season so much more tonally together than the first season; that was meant to be all adult with shagging and stuff, but they couldn't curb their adolescent glee at a sexy cybergirl battling a pterodactyl. Anyways, check out this EW review; they admit they don't get it, but actually I think it's pretty accurate.
Finding it hard to believe that anything on The Crowd Goes Wild is brilliant, but will take your word for it.

Whoa, I was soooo right. Which either means I'm a complete genius or I've been watching too much TV for too long. I think the psychological aspect is that, as he said to Tania, he's confident when he's in his uniform, but really shy outside of work. Plus, Lara Wade alluded to some sort of abuse by his grandmother.
Another thing for next year – is Gerald secretly rich? He keeps on buying really expensive clothes.

__Hex__ has played before (series 1, I presume), on TV2 at about 1.00am on a weeknight.
Whoa – totally right, I looked back at the listings for week 43. Nice to know the listing actually wasn't wrong. TV.com has ep details.
Looks like the Dom's plans to be the next Ryan Seacrest are well underway, according to this story anyway, although ratings haven't been great.

Hey I found Hex in the Listener, but they've got the little 'return season' marker on it - does anyone know, has an earlier season already screened (or is this a repeat)? I remember reading about it a while back but I didn't think it had been on yet.
No – sigh – Hex is new; the "return" box was another mistake by our listings service in Australia whose name I will not mention. We do read the pages at the Listener (we have to), but we don't always pick up everything as the pages are printed out in b&w and it's difficult to tell what colour the little boxes are.
did Fiona and Russell take the boys to Armageddon - and what sneaky super-powered ninja tricks did they pull to gain dominion over the Parental Credit Card of Joy? :)
Russell did the honours this year, I couldn't quite face it, largely because it's the same every year and the kids don't want to see the panel guests and I do. Also, it's not like you're going to get a bargain – one stallholder even had a sign saying "make me an offer" and when number two son did exactly that, wouldn't negotiate. wtf?
Have updated PA post with Letterman guests, btw, and as I started the post on Monday, didn't mention The Line of Beauty which is screening Sunday nights late on TV1. It's an Andrew Davies adaptation of the Allan Hollinghurst novel about being gay in the 80s. (Yes, the Listener left out the "The" in the title, I did ask the listings service that shall not be named to change it, but they neglected to do so.) Here's a review from Variety.
