Fiona Rey called it decidedly ‘half assed’ not to have grabbed it.
Oops. Actually, I don't think I used such uncouth language on National Radio, but I did call TVNZ "fogey" for not slapping Karaoke High onto MySpace and YouTube and not even having the domain name. Weirdly, nothing seems to happen if you try to go to www.shortlandstreet.co.nz, although you'll get to the TVNZ website if you go to www.shortlandstreet.com.

The answer is that it might have been Soprano-ed, but the programmers at TVNZ haven't decided when they'll play the remaining six episodes of season three. Yes, six, so you have plenty more gross-out surgery to come. The series was stopped for the holiday season (Christmas and New Year's Day are both on Monday), but a movie is screening on Jan 8, so it's not back by then. It's possible TV2 will screen the remaining six eps and then season four, like they're going to to with The Sopranos.

At $69.95 you're being robbed at the moment however, Whitcoulls (I love Whitcoulls, and they probably love me) is selling it at $49.95 at the moment.
Frak! Does that mean we were dicked at Armageddon by Whitcoulls? I thought it was meant to be cheaper there ...
Torchwood is a funny one, btw, it's trying to be adult, but still exists in a kind of Doctor Who paradigm. Still, where else would you see a sexy Cyberwoman being attacked by a pteradactyl? I thought the last one with the lesbian alien was actually the best in tone and coherence so far. Other eps seemed to lurch from one situation to the next so that you were thinking, "where did that come from?" However, totally watchable, and if it's out there, the Jonathan Ross interview with Captain Jack is the funniest thing I've seen in a while.

I have to say that Shane Cortese on his knees in front of Loretta was pretty much as hot as NZ television has ever got.
OMG, you obviously also didn't see the sex scene between Ant Starr and Mrs Havoc, which was not so much graphic as so intimate I was nearly embarrassed.
Something that's always bothered me about Outrageous Fortune though. Why such a lame, generic, meaningless title?
I quote: "To be or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep"
... etcEp titles are also Shakespearean. A sad indictment of our education system, frankly.
