So true! 'Shear Magic': no. 'Curl Up and Dye': no. No no no.
Or The Sharing Shed.
Yes, spelt that way. It may be some kind of super-double-non-pun but somehow I think not. -
A headless pyramid! No one wins. What could be fairer?
What could be fairer indeed Mr Wilson? Now just sign here, here, just-under-this-bit-about-first-born-something-or-other, here annnnnnd here.
Welcome to the team. -
it's called a "pyramid scheme" i think, Paul.
This isn't one of those shady pyramid schemes you've been hearing about. No sir. Our model is the trapezoid...

It has mostly changed my feelings about trying to read, listen to an iPod and use a stairmaster at the same time.
I'm impressed that you had original feelings of such specificity to change.

Thanks Jake, someone to talk me out of this is probably a good idea - but once I sell off that wireless keyboard and mouse, the Dell, and my webcamera it practically buys itself!!!! Along with a thousand-odd dollars...
And I still like the classic white plastic. It's just more iconic. No! Stop it! -
That white-shell one looks like the best deal these days - same CPU, GPU, RAM amount (although different type) etc as the unibodies but at a more realistic price.
And my cheapo Dell infuriates me in a way my old iBook never did... -
Tempted to leg it down to Magnummac to get one of the 'old' model iMacs before they run out.
I've been mightily tempted to pick up a new MacBook (even just the white shell one) there as they give you a free Airport Extreme or Wireless Keyboard/Mouse set with any MacBook. Given that those are worth $250-odd, that's a pretty sharp deal.

Nic - the new BBC page is very nice.
I like that the draggable regions are ABOVE the fold too. Happy to have the "top story" bit locked, but being able to go to a single view on a 15" laptop that puts politics, business and technology sections up there alongside it is what Stuff could have done (although I note that those options aren't all available on the BBC one either). It would be great if any of the top-level BBC News sections should be addable as widgets, directly from the section.
-
New Stuff site - not sure I like.
- The ability to drag the lower sections into an order you want is actually quite neat, and the layout of those sections is nice. But it limits that to those lower sections - "above the fold" seems to still be entirely dictated.
- The font usage is off - serif in the heading and sans-serif in the body text is the opposite of recommended design I thought?
- They have reinserted the story you're reading into the articles listed on the right which is great - it always bugged me before that you couldn't see where in the list of articles you were.
- White space is lovely but it doesn't feel like it's been properly used. Whole thing doesn't quite gel yet, perhaps it will in time -
Is there some kind of animosity between Pakistan and Sri Lanka that I was unaware of?
