  • Hard News: Complaint and culture, in reply to nzlemming,

You're an animal, Jack. Probably a Sky Pilot in disguise.

    Thanks. I think.

Sky Pilot? That would be my grandfather. True story. And Father Mulcahy is one of my fancy dress options.

I think I should stop there.

    PAS hivemind

I tend to think that people who accuse PAS of this haven't read the tagline, right at the top of the page.

    1)
I've looked at hives from both sides now,
From up and down, and still somehow,
    It's hive illusions I recall,
I really don't know hives, at all.

    2)
I'm just a soul whose intentions are good,
oh lord, please don't let me be misunderstood

The iPod does act as a USB drive, doesn't it?

    No.*

    Or alternatively, yes.

Actually, I’m getting all angry again now… so I’m going to hit ‘post’ on this before I say something I really regret.

Thank you Deborah for this post and for sharing your story. It further confirms my view that this is an individual thing, and comparing it to farming, coaching sports or anything other than what it is for the mother in question deserves all the ridicule and ranting it gets.

Midwives, Gynos. Yes there are battles.

Why have a battle when you can have both? Well, with twins they sort of encourage it (Midwife & Obs at least). They worked well as a team too. I'm not going into details of the birth, because last I looked, not my body, but we were grateful for them both. As a team.

Two teams working together in perfect harmony. I should write a song.

As to the breastfeeding, it's a whole new kind of privilege, IMnshO, and as such, at the point you think about judging other people's experiences, just don't.

    [with real good air-con]

Reckon. Or you'd have to call it 'Silt Bar'. Or the 'Hydrocarbon Cabana' maybe? 'CO Espresso' even?

There has to be some viable use for it though. Apart from bus storage.

Cheese on Toast has a good bunch of B Street photographs.

What a great collection. Makes me wish I'd ventured out, rather than opting for the alternative, which didn't quite go to plan.

He seems to be using jAlbum, which is my pick for making online albums in a hurry too, in case anyone's interested.

I remember thinking it was terrifically exciting, although also quite hard work to have fun with. ;-)

The kids today, they have no fun-related work ethic.
    Cue appropriate Queen song.

I learned to program from a book.

So did most people back then, as the computer sure didn't have a help menu.
I guess you were one of those guys freezing games and giving them a POKE while playing. What we would do in those days for a PEEK and a POKE.

ETA: If you can read that whole wiki page without smirking or losing control of your facial expressions, then you are a better person than I.
