These days, I only ever cook for one. Omelets, soups, stir-fries, stews -- all using essentially the same mix of vegetables and mushrooms, chopped to varying degrees, and with a few other additional ingredients added: meats, when present, used for flavouring rather than as a main feature. (Generally I plan things when preparing dinner so that there's a cupful of omelet filling left over for the next day's breakfast.)
But over the years, everyone else who has ever tried my culinary attempts has very shortly thereafter moved to a different city. So, not sure I should be sharing recipes! -

Ah! So that is where the batshit comes from.

If he thinks that’s justice being done,
he’d better hope it’s never done to him.…Won’t the words sit ill upon their tongues
When they tell us that justice is being done
And that freedom lives in the barrel of a warm gun… -

ethnic cleansing of Eastern Europe […] worked
For what exactly? Do you really mean to imply that the only way of achieving a stable nation-state is through achieving racial/cultural purity?

Vanishing Point Trailer
Before clicking through to enlightenment, I looked at the still shot and thought, “I can’t see a trailer behind that car…”

Uh, where "affected by"/"influence" should of course read "measurable amounts of" throughout. No influence has been proven.

“dodgy” is an understatement.
It looks very much like they’ve just kept adding cases into a spreadsheet until they got a round number of 500 affected by alcohol and/or (other) drugs.(And what’s included in "other drugs"? Nicotine?
And what time period were these fatalities collected over, with what changes in regulation and testing regimes?)But then the further percentages quoted are percentages of that selected group , NOT of a random sample, nor of any meaningful population.
So … 72% of a sample selected for influence from drugs including alcohol shows drug influence from more than just alcohol? Not exactly surprising.

Hm. My irony meter just went off the scale. Those preceding comments are so hard to read . Or maybe I'm just missing what's in all those ... ellipses?

The description of Carey Marx's show had me feeling I'd heard it before. As it turns out, I hadn't: instead, I'd heard a very similarly themed autobiographical radio comedy series ( Richard Tyrone Jones' Big Heart). Which I also recommend.

@paul
nice … I think I’d add though, given that each person responds differently, that any time you try something new / with a new partner, you are exploring what is, for you (individually or mutually), virgin territory. So it’s a continuing process.
