I agree with Damian. JC did seem to be hectoring a little. The MP’s who attended didn’t cover themselves in glory much. They seemed to be trying their best to stay on side with destiny. Should have been upfront and Say I don’t agree with them on alot of things, hell i don’t agree with my own party from time to time but that doesn’t mean i don’t front up.
I miss Sandra Lee, she knew how to respond to situations like that. Ill always remember her comment at being served whale at the whaling meeting in Japan “In my culture we don’t criticizes our hosts choice of hospitality” but the look said it all.

The thing about living in this itunes world is that you have sooo much music you can forget about some favrouite artists for some time and then rediscover them all over again… So Missy Higgins welcome back to my play list!
On topic...Can I play a flat rate and get access to a media companies categloue all month?
I'd chuck sony or warners 50 bucks a month each if i could listen to or watch all i wanted during that month. Is this business model not enough money or are they just stuvk in the past

I also agree with RB Labour gave this legs all week buy not making a full and final decision on day one. ethier sack him or stick by him untill the investigation is complete not this send him on leave, stand him down, sack him in the space of three days stuff. it looked like ameture hour at Bowen house.
Conor Roberts quit the mayors office they need you in Wellington!

Hard News: Limping Onwards, in reply to
I agree with Rich on Tizzard. She has every right to take her place and Labour only have themselves to blame for putting her there. Also Judith might be feeling a little aggrived having given decadeds of service to her party to get absoutly zero public support during the Mt Albert selection and now this. loyalty to a two way street.

visual comments?
Off topic I know but I note the Great Blend thread already had 47 comments and another thread here now has over 800!?
I wonder if anyone is investigating a better way to hold online discussions. I find pages and pages of comments hard to follow.
I wonder if a flash based system with a round table where people join the discussion and you can 'play' the dissuasion so it looks more like a conversation... This place is lively I just cant keep up ;)

Hard News: Welfare: Back to the Future?, in reply to
de facto sterilizing the poor/beneficiaries may be well-intentioned but still creepy

Hard News: Welfare: Back to the Future?, in reply to
a) The Welfare Working Group recommends that ready access to free long-acting reversible contraception be provided for parents who are receiving welfare.
Look no one is suggesting this be made compulsory...yet...

It's a pretty typical tactic of this government to float ideas to see how the public will react and then not do anything if its to negative. That way they keepy thier poll ratings by not pissing to many people off at once.
I'm in two minds about this. On the one hand it gives people to have thier say on the other unless you make a big song and dance about eveything you don't like they take silence as consent.
