I'm looking forward to coming into the studios to watch this thingie you work on, live, in the holidays. I very rarely get to see TVNZ7 except online, and then only when I remember. As for The Little Yellow Digger, I remember very clearly when I was working at Owairaka Kindergarten and the lovely Betty and Alan Gilderdale came in to talk about the book to our kids. Who were mostly from refugee/migrant families, and it went completely over their heads, but I enjoyed the explanation anyway. They were a very lovely older couple who seemed a bit bemused, and chuffed to bits, that so many years later, their stories about the Little Yellow Digger were as popular as they were.

Exactly, Tony. God forbid the teachers dick the country around, but the Gummint can dick us around as much as they like, because, well, we DIDN"T ELECT THEM.

Can I just say, as a resident of Mt Eden (down the Marsden Ave end of Dominion Rd) that I am not looking forward to having this bloody thing going on? And it's screwed up the school terms too. 12 wks for this term followed by 11, then 10 then 8 wks respectively. Are you kidding me? Because of some bloody thugby? I know rugby is popular, and I know it's important for NZ that we got the RWC, but changing the school terms? Okay, rant over.

The world is full of beauty, isn't it? And Lilith? That ad is genius. The SPCA here should try it.

I think so. My mum does it. My best friend does it. I believe you should do it.

At the moment, my darling girl (dog, not cat) - who is 10 and pretty much on her last-ish legs due to poor health - poos outside my bedroom door every morning at about 3am. Is it coincidence? I think not. She knows that I have been talking about her demise lately, and watching anxiously for signs of her decline. And I think she's telling me to watch my back. Or feet, as the case may be.

Now, that could be a point, Leigh. We'll put that one to Stella. She'd probably curl her lips!

And also, Colin appears to have grown disproportionately large so that could be part of the plan. Although it must be said that the last time I saw Colin, he was fleeing from an old dog. So he’s not that near to world domination.

I have always maintained you were some sort of social engineer, now I know it to be true. Or if you don't like the term 'social engineer", the term "the glue that holds people together" might please you better.
