Field Theory: And they're off!, in reply to
The women are women, not girls
That was not my point. My point was the sheer size of all of the athletes but as you bought it up I would say the Women are looking manly rather than childlike.

I noticed, last night, that the gymnasts are a lot bigger this year, enormous shoulders every one. Is it something in our food, steroids in the chicken, Human Growth Hormones in the beef? or something more sinister. Send in the Clones, well maybe they're here.

Shame that Ambrose didn't record Banks chatting about that donation deal with our esteemed PM. Oh, wait, perhaps he did. We will never know, the recording quality was awful.

but no one thinks my cricket ball signed by Hadlee was also made by him.
Damn that Hadlee, out there forging cricket balls.

imagine the Poms would put up a solid resistance
I resemble that remark. :-(
Apparently us Poms are bloody useless, even losing the Keys to Wembley Stadium. You'd think they would have a spare set wouldn't you?. -

Personally I find the Olympic boring. It is run by an organisation steeped in the sort of culture only corrupt ex-fascists can create and is full of unspeakably boring sports that hardly anyone in this country likes or follows.
So. Not a huge fan then?.
As for the National Health angle. Do you think Mitt Romney got a heads up?. -

I’m not sure being good (or even being the best) at being a politician is regarded by most people as a compliment.
Graeme, I'm sure you are a very good lawyer.

NZ Police have not pressed charges when political figures are involved (and yes, I am thinking all the way back to Paintergate).
I am so sick of this continuing smear against one of the best politicians this country has had.
The signing of that painting was no worse than signing a bat, a ball or even a shirt if you were a sports star. No-one ever claims that some rugby player made the underwear he puts his name to. -
Hard News: It's not funny because it's…, in reply to
I wouldn’t buy (retail) internet service from anyone other than Telstra/Telecom (or Woosh, back in the day).... ...If there were some wonderful technology in the network layer that only X had, then there could be real competition, but they’re all running the same imported hardware and software, just at different settings.
I just signed up with Woosh the other day (have been on their wireless offering for years) and they have some natty equipment, The Fritz Box Fon 7270 which means you can use your cellphone over voip if you are in range of your wi-fi, it also has NAS and can run as a media server, neat.
