Wow, hounded out of NZ, eh? Harsh!
I think one of them is currently seeking residency in NZ? Though I could be misinformed.

What would we do without wonderful YouTube?
Thanks for the clip, Joe - looks gorgeously shot, though it all sounds like Dutch to me.

Haha! Were you at Western Springs, Simon, when Neil Young played in the early 80s? There were several support bands - one of which was The Divinyls. They were trying to get some crowd participation, chanting "let's go! let's go!", and what seemed like 70,000 people all called back in unison, "well, go then!". lol. Good times, good times...

My fave band of that time, from Ol' Blighty, were The Pretty Things. Harder than Stones, man. :D
Minor spam moment, if that's okay: If you're ever in Sydney, call into Mojo Records on York St. It's part-owned and run by a friend of mine - Neville Sargent - and it's a very cool old style record store. You can even catch the odd, instore gig there. :)

I must look for it as a rental, Joe. Is it subtitled, though? My small TV is awful, and my eyesight ain't what it used to be. Subtitles I need to see on the big screen, with me sitting in the front row.
This bloody aging rubbish is just so unfair!

I was going to suggest Multituli's Max Havelaar, but a quick Wiki search reveals that it's already been done.
Great book.

A keeper!

...not being willing to enter into negotiations he didn't believe he had legal standing or moral authority to engage in isn't my idea of bad faith.
Agreed. Plus, why would anyone agree to "quietly meet" in an illegal discussion, in good faith? That good faith could be turned against you, in very bad faith, very easily. Better to seek legal council than to even go there is by far a more prudent thing to do, imo. Especially when you have such a high profile.

Re The Wombles: that was fantastic! Thanks!
