Well, it was either this guy's knowledge of post-modernism, or my in-depth understanding of existentialism

Wait, was that... No, couldn't have been. But then, hang on, did he go on to quote Shakespeare?

So you're in the clear either way.

Are you completely mad? I may have to discipline and punish you for such presumptions of the order of things.

'It's not knowledge bro, until you use it.' Or something.

Without wishing to re-start the po-mo wars, none of that has ever seemed shaggable to me.

Luckily I'm 18 years married with three children, so it hardly seems to matter. Apparently 'A' waited long enough for me to grow out of my 'I'm really deep and here's my bookcase to prove it' period. Did I wear stripped shirts? Don't think there are any photos.

Anyhoo, I was being nostalgic. I could probably pull Mythologies off the shelf though, if nothing else.

    Wheatgrass still tastes awful.

    he-whores

    Hey!

This is my vote for a Kim Deal archetype.

Wheatgrass tastes like shit, and I eat Foucault for breakfast.

Baudrillard, Bathes and Derrida are for real men.

  • Pass the crisps: UK Election watch,

Stick it out for a couple more days and he'll be moving in to Number 10. ;)

Deputy Prime Minister? That seems vaguely familiar. Surely no sensible leader would allow that much influence to their opponents just to form a government? No, wait, this.

Winston Peters, the mercurial leader of the minor New Zealand First party, landed the role of kingmaker. After parallel talks with the main National and Labour parties he finally supported Jim Bolger’s incumbent National party.

In return, Mr Peters became deputy prime minister and treasurer. From the outset, though, Mr Bolger’s leadership was doomed and within 12 months he was dumped by his party and a year later Mr Peters was sacked.

And later of course resigned from HC's cabinet. Resourceful wee chap.

    I'm doing this all wrong, aren't I?

You're in good company. We're all doing it wrong. Otherwise we'd be wearing women's clothing.

If you have Rockers, then you really need Mods. Similar rules apply, but we wear hats, which we keep in our glove box, and turn up on Vespas. Even our motorcycles (yes, yes, scooters) are 'up for it'. 2-stroke, with 1 down and 3 up. Just sayin'.

You needn't worry about getting it wrong, because the stereotype has been applied a priori.
