Just yesterday I came across 3(!) old mondegreens of mine and wondered whether I'd remember them long enough for the topic to surface again.
A couple from Big Star: for a long time I heard "Wish we had / a joint so bad" as "Wish we had / a joy so bad" ( In The Street .) Not much of a difference structurally, but I was disapointed to discover the real lyric, since the misheard one is better.
In When My Baby's Beside Me , I always heard "When my baby's beside me / I don't a-worry / When my..." as "When my baby's beside me / I go to work, and / When my..."
Worst of all is from the BBs' Don't Worry, Baby : "She told me 'Baby, when you race today, just / take along my love with you'" always came out as "She told me 'Baby, when you're wasted / then just take along my love with you'."

The Specials without Jerry Dammers is like The Clash without Joe Strummer [or] The Attractions without EC.
Reminds me of the time I saw the Beach Boys without Brian, Carl, Dennis, Al, Mike (who'd quit again, a few days previously) or Bruce (whose plane had been diverted due to bad weather, and arrived about 10 minutes after the show.)
