Systems cause things to happen so that individual people don’t have to conspire.
Systems are created by people making deals.

Which theatre do you choose?
The one that offers the best deal.

Hell, I never even tried to answer that kind of question as a philosophy student.

Solo Passion
As has been noted before, the name says it all. A party for those enamoured by the passion of Onan.

Can you explain, to us less than omnipotent beings, the difference between "a deal" and a "structural incentive"?. The latter just sounds like managementspeak.

For example this morning Mr Key was interviewed unusually on Morning Report. The ineptness or complicitness of the the interviewers allowed Mr Key to avoid answering any questions.
And in the afternoon we get Jim Mora singing the praises of Sky TV’s new channel SoSo…, a channel of “All New” repeats, mostly repeats from Prime.
I wonder if there was a deal…

National hits back at Goff's 'vital statistics'
Call that hitting back? "its rubbish"
that is more like the petulant tantrum of a two year old. If the Prime Minister had any concrete evidence he would have used it then but he has nothing.
Newspapers and media in general are all about advertising revenue and are slaves to their own polls and surveys, they want to be seen as being on the "winning" side, so the process corrupts itself.
You can find unbiased and well researched items but they tend to be followed by the line "the opinions expressed in this article are not those of this newspapers owners, so should be ignored", or something along those lines. -
Legal Beagle: Referendum Fact Check #5:…, in reply to
if we wanted that sort of independence in New Zealand (which is what the anti-MMP crowd says is good about FPP/SM) then we’d need a lot more MPs (so that the executive and patronage couldn't extend far enough to overwhelm an independent caucus).
I can't quite see your logic here, surely the anti MMP crowd want executive control and to neuter the independence of independents and small parties?
Voting along party lines on major matters of policy is one thing but there are many amendments to bills that should be voted along the lines of a conscience vote rather than a whipped vote. Otherwise the debating process is pointless, it may as well be back-room deals.

Google are on board and realise what this means to Christchurch and History.
The 360° City layer is good too, it has some internal views of the Cathedral and some more 360° views of the Square as well..

Do we all vote Labour, and hope for the best? Do we split our vote and give our party vote to Green?
Depends on your electorate.
If you are in a marginal seat your electorate vote really counts so I would say vote labour. If you are in a safe Labour seat, vote labour electorate and Green party list.
If you are in Epsom vote electorate National and green or Labour list, a labour electorate vote in Epsom you may be helping ACT (A Cuppa Tea party, H/T Ian ;-) it should be the only time a person with a brain should vote National..
