beautiful blogging sarah - simple yet effective, and I quite agree about the word "vintage".

Oh, Jolisa. Yay for you. I'm up to here with all this dreary political talk that's been going on here lately, and you know just how to make us smile. The Wombles! Doing Punk! And the Goodies! And cute kids who actually know "Right Said Fred"! Love it. And it's great to see that you're making a bit of dosh in New Haven (wasn't that where the Bob Newhart show was based?) doing what you do best. So thank you - you never disappoint.

heh, in a female dominated demographic, conversation would naturally have meandered back onto the topic of breaks co-op...again ; )
No, that would be in a Clark dominated demographic, which it is not.Count yourself lucky....

Thank you Dale, that did give me a laugh.

Christ almighty. Russell does a lovely post about the Homegrown festival, and where are we now? Two people arguing about how good/not good China is, and a couple of side issues re modern warfare. Ah, the joy of a male dominated demographic.......(yes, I know we have had this discussion about the genders and this forum before, no I don't think it's a bad thing etc)

Apparently that always happens, Jarrod. My brother's band Breaks Co-op played at one of the BDO's and they were a bit pissed off because the sound was so bad. They weren't important enough I guess. And when they went on tour with Goldenhorse, their sound was fine, but apparently not as good as the headliner's. Don't really understand that, myself.
Russell, tell your darling the video is great, would you? I love Len Lye's contraptions, and she captured it beautifully. Doesn't Wellington's waterfront make you want to cry that we haven't got it right yet, in Auckland? I know it does me. -
Get them in, Steve, would you?

You know what kindergarten teachers are like, Julie - some of them can be, shall we say, a little po-faced at times. She did the joke about how when men put their socks on in the morning, the first side they put on is the side their penis is leaning. Nothing offensive in that, I would have thought, especially since we had Nigel Latta as our speaker in the morning, and he is VERY scatalogical.

I meant to say, too, David, that if you haven't already read Janey Godley's autobiography, do so. It's pretty harrowing but it really adds to understanding who she is as a comedian.
