We're seeing David Byrne on Valentine's Day. I don't think this is particularly romantic. All I can think of that's relevant is Tina Weymouth ringing people up in the middle of the night to cast aspersions on the size of Byrne's penis. Not so nice.

(I also say of course written formal Maori requires the use of macrons. Is anyone arguing with French's need to use the cedilla? No? Well then.)

This may reassure some of the romance readers out there: librarians, particularly in big branches, never, ever look at the books they're issuing to you. They don't care in the slightest what you're reading, and moreover are (mostly) trained not to comment without you saying something first. Basically, they're just hoping you aren't going to say 'I pay your wages with my rates, you know!' when you mention some overdue fines.

I can't work out why I watch Grey's Anatomy. It is, objectively, utter tosh. And not unashamed gutter-level tosh like Flavor of Love, but pretensions-to-quality tosh. I am slightly disturbed by my GA 'series link' on the MySky.

But isn't there a point at which 'he deserved to be yelled at' morphs into 'whoa, but not *that* much yelling!'? Obviously, the point at which this occurs, for me, is quite early on - say, a minute or less.
I'm not a complete hippy or anything, but I am quite honestly surprised by how normal or justifiable some of you think this is. Perhaps it's because I find that level of hostility quite terrifying, and immediately think that someone yelling that much could snap at any moment and beat the shit out of me, and I wouldn't be able to defend myself because I'm five foot three with zero muscle tone. Heh.
