If this works, and we won't know for 15 years I htink they said last night, it's fantastic, and the Greens should embrace it.
Science and technology are not inherently evil, but that seems to be their view.Along with an embrace of quackery, sorry, i mean 'alternative' medicine.
The Greens are still too anti-science for me to support. I quite like them, I have friends there, but I won't vote for them.

I'm still amazed at how much the big guns in the media seem to be in love with the PM and everything he does.
At the best Espiner and Garner offer an uncritical report of his performance, and at worst they operate almost like his PR hacks.
This is not to say they won't criticise the govt, at times, but they seem to still be in the grips of a bromance with the PM.

All blatantly heterosexist.
Emma we homos have been signalling our availability dressing to pull for years. Any man wearing arse-less leather chaps is just asking for it ;-)

Excellent! (Not in a Mr Burns voice) and Congratulations.

I think you're giving Paula way too much credit.

I find this whole thing really weird too. I mean c'mon! everyone knows what SOG was there for, and has been doing for years.
If they were selling clones etc as claimed, then yes they are in trouble, but I wonder how much the police can be trusted around this in their need to build a watertight case.
But it still strikes me as a massive waste of police resources - 2 years following this up undercover? don't they have better things to do ?

Jonathan is going to grow up into Bill Ralston.

It's just been a really happy fun summer - and I have no idea why.

It has been a glorious Summer in Auckland, just fantastic. I have hardly been out of the city, and at times thought "Damn I should be up north" but Auckland has been so much fun this summer, for me anyhow.
And I'm not carping Russell, (no, really, I'm not) but in your list of great events, you forget the Big Gay Out, whcih this year pulled in over 10,000, including a gaggle of politicians from the PM down, all out to try and grab the pink vote. It is always a fun and happy day, and we welcome the breeders who show up.
Noting like several thousand queers relaxing in the sun to give you a happy day out.

You just know it's going to be a naff "Party Central" cause it's Key's idea to start with. He's so hip and down with the fans.
Even the most expensive of the plans I've seen is only mediocre, not inspiring. There is no way this development should be dependent on the RWC. And no way that Auckland should be forced to pay for it either.
And as for me, I hope I am overseas the whole time its on.
