Are you suggesting we rename JK's splendid idea "Brain Damage Central"?
-
When I initially heard the term "Party Central" my first thought was "Brain Fart". These Prime Ministerial flashes of brilliance will forever be known as "Key words" to me. I saw the flim "Bob Roberts" last night, it had an eerie familiarity.
-
Hmm, I had a friend who pleaded guilty to possession of a small block of Hash, so they didn't test it and find it to be Opium. tee Hee. Mind you, they treat them both the same these days, I think.
Which reminds me. The case of the shot farmer was mentioned on the news last night and the comment was made "Police are still not saying if it was drug related". Now this caused me to think. WTF does that mean?"
Drug related could mean...
the offender did not taken his medication,
Or, taken too much medication,
Smoked some pot,
Was trying to get to the chemist because he had a headache
Was trying to buy Drugs
was trying to sell drugs
Yeah, Drugs are bad Mmm K? -
<pendant>
A few Heinekens first and chucks away...
It's "chocks" actually </pendant> ;-)
I'm going to fall in behind "people travelling incredibly fast down hills on public roads without brakes" are a risk to others.
Like, totally dude. I mean, you know, the risk of having to clean all that gooey flesh out of your radiator grille and hose the blood off your tyres.
And yeah, brakes on a skateboard, and how about seatbelts?.

Hmmm, Heineken.
Twas them that were responsible for the closing of the Gluepot back in '94, apparently they bought in to Dominion Breweries on the proviso that the brewery got out of retail and concentrated on brewing Heineken for the southern market. Bastards.
On the beer can front, I can see why they want their beer to be seen, free advertising, whats the point of having your beer on show if no-one knows it's yours?.
As for the Police seeing Aluminium beer cans as a clear and present danger, well, you only have to read what they said about the Bombay Skateboarders"I just can't see that it's possible, and if it is, they're jolly stupid. All they have to do is come off and they would kill themselves.
"They get speed and it doesn't take much to fall off and hit their head on the kerb and cause permanent brain damage.
"If it's real, he [Chapman] is an idiot. If any of the police staff had seen him, he definitely would have been taken off the road."
Yeah, right, "Taken off the road" with a quick nudge of a Police car and then a shovel?. No danger there, eh?.

Well, I'm glad that's all over. It turned out to be wind, nearly blew my pants off.

"The dog didn't like that chair in your bedroom, dear, so I've moved it to the kitchen,"
We have a dog like that.

A wonderful argument. But given that my argument was the Russell was wrong to state that this would affect every one of the 400,000 NZers who start a new job each year, I'm not sure where it gets you.
Russell was referring to the estimated 400,000 employees changing jobs each year who would be affected. Whether they would be adversely affected or not is not the point, it is the fact that if all jobs were subject to this legislation then all those jobs would be affected by that legislation, or did you mean effected?.
But then I am ANAL. -
You may be wondering where employees – the other group affected by the law change – featured in these surveys...
...although employees manifestly outnumber employers in the economy, employers outnumbered staff in the consultation exercise by 100 to one.
The report says the imbalance was "due to resource constraints".Personally I don't see anything wrong with that.
As long as we apply the same "constraints" to the Election. You know, only allow Labour voters to vote.
