The state of New South Wales is on track to remove the defence of artistic merit from the law, despite the fact that it has only been used twice in NSW history, both unsuccessfully.
That's going to make a lot of images NSFNSW.

unless you go all the way back to palaeolithic statuary
And who doesn't?

"gay male couples, marketed to women"
Let's hope gay males don't buy those magazines and spoil the marketing.
"Perhaps it’s a Victorian thing: Renaissance art is full of beautiful naked men."
Hide the sausage (as it's known in technical artistic lingo) predates the Victorians, actually. It would be interesting to learn exactly how it come about, does anybody know? But people were hiding Adam's genitals on Masaccio's frescoes and chiselling penises off statues well before the 19th century.
In contemporary terms, I'd say that a non young, non classically beautiful female naked body is as unacceptable as a classically beautiful male's naked body, if not more so.

No. Really, no. The faces of the military-industrial complex (Giovanni Ribisi and a so-hammy-its-CAMP Stephen Lang respectively) don't bite the head off an adorable Pandoran puppy-analogue while cackling manically as they urinate in the bleeding stump, but pretty damn close.
Film now seen, pre-judgment confirmed. Saying that Avatar is anti-corporations is like saying that Tom and Jerry is anti-cats. Cartoonish villains and a brainless script don't a critique make.
As you all were.

I used to think they might be read as "Baby! I'm bored".
My next door neighbour (and midwife) has that one.

You seemed to have trailed off. Tell me more about the birds and the bees.

Or all those things at once. Spare no expense, that's what I say.

Yes, I was making unwarranted assumptions wasn't I?

Porn movies work for this
Excuse me, but what happened to having sex?

I used to resent those signs... I felt they were trying to say they had precious cargo on board and could I please try extra hard not to crash into them. This seemed to be suggesting I wasn't taking driving seriously and had spare capacity to be extra careful, when in fact I was already trying as hard as I possibly could not to crash into any car, regardless of who or what was on board.
Or, as Marge said upon receiving one: "great, so finally people will stop intentionally ramming into our car".
