Altho inspired by the tips and pics on here, I dusted off my dslr and captured a night portrait of the house, which turned out wonderful. Would post, but my front door feels insanely personal for some reason. Now have to venture into town or somewhere for some night light action.

thanks for the breathing tips. Somewhere in the deep recesses I know that... I think I just push the boundaries of handheld because I am too lazy to haul my heavy manfrotto around. Or I'm getting shaky in my middle age.
I used a Tripod for this shot.

We get several million round this place in a good summer.
Your ears ring. The very land rings…Two years ago, we had what I dubbed 'the wall of sound' - it was so loud we all wore ear plugs outside but approaching the end of the driveway my collar bones would vibrate. Nature's drum and bass - some can produce close to 120 decibels.
Pretty little things though. This one my son is holding was thankfully silent.

As for those spiders... are they wolf spiders? Beautiful but, no, not loveable. Not for me.
