By the way.... thats not a forecast on my part... I dont know enough to do that...
But what I have heard a lot of, is "That wont happen again". "We've learnt our lessons, we wont make the same mistakes"
It's comforting to hear, and I hope it's true.... but I also know how often statements like that are made by humans and they turn out false. :(

Will the $250 Freeview-HD set-top box give noticeably better pictures than the $190 non-HD Freeview-satellite box when viewed through a 29" glass-tube TV?

Seeing as I wont be buying a New TV any time soon, (Warehouse 29" glass tube telly) and get a perfect picture on TV1-2-3, close to perfect C4, slightly fuzzy but watchable prime and too fuzzy to watch Maori...
Will the $250 HD terrestrial signal be visibly better on my (3 year) old telly than the $180 satellite receiver's non-HD signal? (I have an unused dish on the roof, so either will work for me)

So, is this measure designed only to make it harder for people already convicted of something to get bail while waiting for trial of something else...
Or have they just thrown away the whole "presumption of innocence" thing? Your not actually a criminal until you're found guilty right?
Maybe thy wrote it, knowing that it sounds good to Laura Nauder types but doesnt actually apply in most situations?
