Seconded, as far as sentences out of context go, that is climactic.
As for The Knife of Never Letting Go etc, I won't ruin them by raving too much, but they were very enjoyable. I also just read Watership Down , my copy being one I bought when I was about eight, and couldn't finish cos it was too scary (I'd seen the film). I have finally read it all the way through, huzzah!

BookieMonster, I have visited your site and decided to try the Jasper Fforde on your recommendation.
Library first, I may become a buyer from your fine site should the book turn out as good as your review suggests.
FWIW, the only books I've read recently that were published in 09 are Anne Salmond's newie, and The Ask & the Answer (which despite its dreadful title I really enjoyed (and seeing as I remember when paperbacks were under $10 , I am well outside that book's target demographic))

I imagine, that is the value of experience, one team can't wait to show what it can do, and the other knows the value of patience .

In fairness, the Bay this season lost to Southland, Wellington, Waikato & Canterbury, and three of those four finished higher.
Still, at least Ipswich got their first win of the season, so it wasn't all doom & gloom.

Maybe they should have quorum rule?

Looks like everyone knew about the MTS bid for RWC, but because they never spoke about it amongst themselves they could claim plausible deniability:
Despite Mr English's apparent awareness of the MTS plan, Broadcasting Minister Jonathan Coleman said he didn't know about it until last month.
Mr English today told reporters he remembered having discussions with Dr Sharples over the issue in June, but was hazy on the detail.
"As minister of finance I can have a dozen conversations in a day with ministers about what they might or might not want to do," he said.

Last time I went it was to see the Stooges, and they were well worth it. Now Iggy has got Williamson to talk about a reformation of the Raw Power lineup, what with Ron being dead and all, so just maybe a BDO for this lineup as well?
