When the super city was first created I think some politicians freaked out realizing they were effectively creating a city state with comparable power to central govt.
Maybe that is why central govt is trying hard to limit and control the sovereignty of Auck. -
I remember switching from Values to Labour and the elation when Labour got in, there was a different feeling around than when Kirk got in in 72, something else was in the air . Lange was different and kinda cool and was bringing new people in with him. Lots of hope. Tragic how we all got fooled later down the track.
I remember the speculation was that it was Bob Jones' NZ Party that triggered the change by splitting the conservative vote.

Yes my friend we swim in a sea of political apathy. I am shocked when I meet people who are not sure who the blue party is or just don't vote.
I read the American Idol show gathered as many votes as the congressional election.

Its a pretty good resource for legal Pharmaceuticals, psychological impacts,side effects etc . I use it in my work sometimes.

So letters from Labour MP lightly supporting Mr Liu's immigration are ok to release but not those by Nat Ministers that actually influenced the decision . Hell how many letters from politicians did this guy get? -
