The flow you feel when playing well is the same as most creative processes.

Ah, grasshopper. Lose all distractions of ego, analysis and self-referring thought, immerse yourself and become the activity. Let the purity of your action be unsullied by conscious thought.

I don't really think Mike Tindall did anything. It was more that the entire team appear to have treated the tournament and the trip here as a big rolling piss-up, with actually playing rugby a distant second. Fine for a provincial club on tour. Not such a great look for a supposedly top-level national team. If you don't 'want' it badly enough, don't bother turning up.

I guess they have cause to be bitter. They have to go back to winter, licking the wound of their pathetic semifinal.

Probably shouldn't have treated the whole thing as an extended stag do for Mike Tindall, then. Dicks.

  • Field Theory: All Blacks v Wallabies Tensionfest,

I'm saddened by the refereeing decisions that have ruined this world cup and sent the fans and teams from Samoa, South Africa and Wales (among others) home feeling ripped off. They are literally going home knowing they are better teams than some of the other quarter finalists.

Ruined is kind of a strong word. It's a knock-out competition for a fast-flowing dynamic game, with a strong element of luck. Them's the breaks. I've never heard a team come off and complain about one-eyed reffing when they won.

If Wales had scored from just one of the four kicks they missed, then we'd probably be looking at a red/black final now. It wasn't the ref that made those kicks miss.

Really want to see the French demolished with the same precision as that first 20 minutes last night.

    <insert Blitzkreig/Blackshirt/Godwin pun of choice here>

I don't do this kind of thing.

Me neither. But can we grab a camera crew and track down George Greegan? 'Four more years, boys, four more years'.

It's almost a shame we played France in pool play .... to meet them in the final for the first time since that night would be tres excitement

A shame Wales didn't go through. That would have been a final with some heart.

Any release by the band Leftfield would be listed as dubstep today, in fact i do believe i have seen Massive Attack 'filed under' dubstep. The new album by 90's Trip Hop favourites Lamb was tagged Dubstep when I purchased it; even though they have not evolved far beyond what would be expected had Dubstep never become popular.

Looks like I am into trip hop after all, then. Kidz: still down wit' them.

There has been some talk in this cup about how quiet and apathetic the NZ crowds are.

They seemed plenty noisy to me around 10.00-10.30 last night...

I LOVE the idea of a live orchestra doing the music for a Rugby match. That would be so cool.

There's an amateur/fan brass band which plays at England soccer matches - around a dozen instruments in it. They play the theme from the great escape. Then they play it again. Then they play it again. Then they play it again. And when they're bored of that, they play it again.

Be careful what you wish for. You might end up screaming and sobbing for another Jordan Luck chorus.
