Jeez RB
You give out Camerons address then point to the fires set by D4J - smooth.
At this point I should say I back Minto on his words and deeds to date but none of the others mentioned.
However - $300 a day for roaming data in OZ is criminal and expect RB to pick it up as an issue next week.

I often confuse issues of moggys with zimmer frames and here is one Fitting for the Baby Boomers & their hardley able toos

I was going to put bells on a couple of neighbours cats to give tweedie birds in the garden a fighting chance.
Overlooking the ownership issue (all pets are slaves after all) I stopped when I was told bells on cats is cruel due to their sensitive hearing - any truth to that? -
Taking up the National Radio ref in your piece -
What was Noelle McCathy on about today with Garry Moore?
She was talking of private security guards in the Streets of Christchurch hired by the local firms. Garry didn't know what she was on about & neither do I.
His privious comment about lazy journos started to ring loud & true.

Good on Don McKinnon, well deserved & that uncle of mine for his good works.
An award for giving cash is bollocks really.
Like the "Free" Charity Hospital in Christchurch. It is State Funded. The rather bitter Dr of a few years ago is obviously trying for a Knighthood or is that hoody these days. Resource duplication is his only achievement. For the Climate Change Skeptics to put everyone who disputes Gores findings in one basket is a bit broad.
Every NZers knows his assertion NZ will house all the flooded PIs is a lie. Gore needs to be kept honest - he's a politican after all. Hyperbole is a big problem in Climate Change - please remeber to quote studies.
The deniers are all a little past their prime and I think craving a little attention Augie - Dutton - Mcshane. To their credit they do quote studies.
Happy New Year

Must say this word worked me up somewhat.
"Some prominent blacks, like Julian Bond, call ''niggardly'' a ''perfectly good word.'' Others, like Mr. Wilkins and Jesse Jackson, feel that Mr. Howard should get his job back, but that such a confusing word could be avoided. ''You've got to be pretty heavy to get into the Scandinavian roots of a word from two centuries ago,'' Mr. Jackson says. "

A little off topic but thought the Mallard Guilty plea a totally just outcome.
He pleads guilty & pays $500 to the Sallies but doesn't get a criminal record but looks the prat he was.

Wanting to convert from grass to tussock - alas it rather clashes with a little resident who is a very active participant in Rugby, cricket and anthing else designed to break windows.
$3.50 for butter - see the global economy works. This is their competitive advantage as any other world producer would pay for not only the pumping but the very water used as well.
We pay world prices for essentually our own water. -
Yes - I'm in Canty and the Dairy Ind is primarily about the export of free water via pasture & cows to supply milk to the world (95% exported).
The dairy companies already consider the farmers allocation of water to be a tradable resource, although that is currently illeagal."New Zealand milk was compared to Nike sneakers to illustrate the absence of consumer responsibility (or sensibility) in demanding ever-lower prices."
That Nike CEO is an utter peanut butter nutter.

Random stats thrown around had the average urban ChCh household using twice as much water as Aucks. This was meant to say Chch is wasteful. I say Aucks are dirty B'stards ; )

Ben - Lamb is pretty enviro-friendly too.
Sofie - It was salmon being farmed - right?
If there were tuna farms that would be a sight to see.
There is the whole colonisation of the water issue as well. Salmon & Trout replacing Eel & Fresh water crays.Less selfish & more Shellfish I say ;)
