I have heard about these big concert ticket clusterf**ks (server crashes and instant sellouts) before. What's PAS' best advice in how I can avoid terrible disappointment on this one?

Humph. I signed up for the competition, however haven't received the confirmation email yet to validate my entry and actually go in the draw...

Somehow these threads seem to just keep on getting better.

The park will probably be privatised.
No, the park will remain in public hands. Rather, it will also benefit from private management by Westfield Shoppingtowns Limited, known for cost-effective delivery of great community spaces.

I did make a point of yelling out "Party on Wayne" as I rode up the bridge, so this is quite a neat little circle. Party on, Garth.

not that he's predictable or anything...
I'm guessing this means I won't be getting a prize for this?
The about-face you've quoted is necessary for George to make his desired connection between lawless hippies and the spineless and quite possibly Labour-friendly bureaucrats who Let It Come To This. I think he just treats external reality as inspiration for a creative voyage through his own little world.

Absolutely there, assuming the RSVPs aren't gone already!

I note no one has a problem with parents who involve their children in a protest that includes breaking the law and puts their children at some physical risk.
There's actually some debate on the bridge crossing thread about safety issues, for all involved, but you don't seem like the type to refrain from pointless strawman-building. Good luck with that.

Out of curiosity: is it even possible not to be accepted as a guest columnist on the Herald? I'm thinking of putting myself forward for a series of contributions on how we should reintroduce serfage.
I'm seriously considering preemptively writing a response piece to Garth George and sending it in, because I just know there will be a whinge about cyclists on the top of the opinions page tomorrow morning.
