I note you are referring to a David, a photographer. Is he in the far background next to Alexander or is he behind Anna Craighton?
He is David Alexander, the bearded bloke in a blue jacket...ex-Press photojournalist, all-round good guy, and my friend (and my neighbour Judith's friend) for +quarter of a century. We taught him to appreciate single malts...
He's had a crib here in Okarito for many years-am sorry to hear you've been motelised, but so glad you've got Hui with you -

What politicians – mainly male – dont factor in is
females in the middleclass still control family money-
and, are we going to move it into – appropriate family (old age) places?
Yes.
Are we going to be bypassing any fukking government set up?
Yes.
Are we aware that shits know about this?
Yes.
Do we have other plans.
O yes!
Die! you other bastards! -
Craig - you may already encountered this place, But sir John Soane's house is a treasure trove. Entry free. A host of antiquities (let us not enquire how obtained) and the use of colours from Etruscan tombs - all the rage when he was building.
He was an architect, and he had a thing about mirrors- well worth a couple of hours- -

Then good stuff happened (skeptics may laugh now).
The double rainbows are especially associated with Maru – who was a peace-loving ancestor, but also something else.
And Rapaki is a Maru place-Like Te-oha-a-Maru and Te-tihi-a-Maru and, indeed, Te Kohu-a-Maru, just up on the bluff, right here-
for no reason I know, I end up living in Maru places (and writing about the being.) -

He is an artist of photography.
Whanau & self have many of David's artworks: one day, when we win Lotto, we will be able to gift him a sufficiency to just concentrate on what his heart & head lead him to do. Love Rachel too...so far have resisted putting David's wonderful cat & dog photos up - because that's for him & Rachel to do if they so feel like it-

I like it especially when cropping across just under David Alexander’s elbows and having Wiz in full flight against the backdrop of the Clarendon. Wiz was so much part of the Square
Great to see my friend David A out there - he has an awesome portfolio of Chchch
photos (dating back 30 years plus.) Ditto Big O- -
