Why would you have different headlines on the story when you're reading it as a one-page instead of a two-page story?
They've changed it... so, who works for the Herald and reads PAS for tips? Answers on the back of an envelope et cetera.

It was different story in January last year, of course. Back then, almost every media organisation in the country led with the canard that a man had first been warned by the police, and then charged, for "flicking" his son on the ear. The source for this claim was Mason himself, who was very voluble in his indignation.
We now know for sure that was not the case. So why on earth is the Herald's story this morning headlined 'Ear-flick' father guilty of assault. Wouldn't 'Father who punched son in the face found guilty of assault' be a more appropriate headline?
I'd thought at first this was angling for Your Views, but they've actually taken a different tack there.

Beats an air guitar any day.
I prefer to beat air drums. Tried to start a band actually but it's hard to think of a name since Quiet Riot is taken.
Also, posting in thread I quit, lol.

Not sure that Craig was alleging anything - read to me as "even if your half-baked guesswork was correct, which it isn't, it would still have nothing to do with Clark's work in government".
That reminds me that "normal people don't do that kind of thing" should go on a PAS t-shirt at the earliest possible convenience of our hosts. I'd be forming a queue of one to purchase it.
The historian in me wants to get the definitive version of the phrase locked down, and then I'll be right in line with ya.

is this the most obnoxious article yet from Laws?
By the end, I could actually feel my dignity shriveling and brain cells dying. Transcendentally awful and far beyond satire. Stephen is fortunate.

I mean crossing the Pacific floor and then covering it up? That's going to take some work.
Totally worth it to save Mount Albert from Pharaoh and his horsemen though.

Waterview is a local issue being thrown out over the national news. It only affects people that drive around Auckland.
That's not what the authorities are saying. Apparently, the nation as a whole should be jumping for joy over the savings being made, and anticipating that totally significant saving being ploughed back into hospitals and schools. Assuming the savings exist, but let's not kill the mood here, right?

P: didn't mean to insult. You're welcome to think outside of the box but it can be hard tracking one argument over five posts.
if YOU think those way-overdressed, totally gussied-up dudes who descend upon every scene of armed crime do not shout with every new creak of their armour HERE IS WHERE THE GOD OF VIOLENCE DOES DWELL and THIS IS WHAT HIS MINIONS SHALL LOOK LIKE then i'd like you to try and express what you think they do shout: "John Boy! Think of the FAMILY!" maybe?
Agreed - but sadly I think by the time the AOS are out, safety and reduced visibility trumps non-confrontational sartorial stylings.
However, it'd be quite cool if they actually did shout like that when they arrived on the scene. Either that or have a nominated singer to croon out "Don't Take Your Guns To Town"...

Fuck off and die, Keith.
I'm pretty sure this is actually a barbed description of the SL government's justifications, not ones that Keith approves of. I understand that there are strong feelings here, but, y'know...

I think you took too much, bro.
