The post-game interview is usually just a chance for the Captain to recall the spiel the media manager gave him before the game. Hoping he hits all of the talking points. It's like having to a mental task straight after the assault course on the Krypton Factor.
The fact that the "interviewer" doesn't seem to ask any questions also points to the fact that it is a walk-through with little actual content or insight into the game. There have been some good ones though. Like at the last World Cup when the French captain basically ignored the reporter and looked down the barrel of the camera and threatened the Argentinians with violence (can't find a clip of it, YouTube, thou hast forsaken me).

Aside, so you recommend the Tab? Been considering one...
It's pretty good. If you like Android (and some people don't) then it's a great tablet. I can give you more advice later after I've used it a bit.

Still writing my post from last night's game, but as for the "the kick", as it seems to be known now, from my seat at corporate box level it looked like it missed.
Though it should be noted that when Wayne Barnes was announced as referee there was a brief, but noticeable, rumbling of discontent through the crowd.

Webweaver, is there any room behind your cushion? I’m nervous
Four years ago you were hiding in the kitchen "frying anything [you] could lay your hands on". So it's good to see you've moved on :)

This is an odd place to ask, but I now need a place to stay in Napier for the Japan-Canada game. Anyone interested in hosting an ill-prepared journo?

I loved the 2005 match. I got to meet the team at the official naming and then go to dinner with them. Meeting Matt Te Pou was so damn cool (I swear that's the last name drop I'll do... ok Carl Hayman was drinking Budweiser, now I'm done).
I think NZers will really get behind the PI teams over the Nth Hemisphere teams because we love to think we're always the underdogs (blindly ignoring our amazing record of wins) and should root for the underdog in any situation.
