Moon Festival got me a spectacular sunset.

And a very cool dawn (that extra 500 metres in altitude over Beijing really does make a difference).

But this was the best moon shot I managed - combination of a lack gear like a tripod or a suitable substitute (the in-laws have cleaned up their courtyard a bit) and skill. Must practice more.

Wow, great colours! And the moonlight on the corn brings the summer feeling flooding back.

These are from the night after full moon. The lit up clouds looked great. My new camera doesn’t do these night shots as well as the little old one…

Motion blur. Is it just me, or did it have an x-ray effect?

A little morning kindy-run experiment. Sunrise through the muddy windows of the bus (it rained yesterday, hence the filthy windows), one of those exceedingly rare occasions when my phone and I actually see the same thing.

A dog bag dispenser, I don't think I've ever seen such a thing before, along the riverbank, impressive thinking. I have wondered what all the little green plastic bags under the bushes contain.

Did it not come with the big green plastic dog to throw the small green bags into?
