have you tried: emusic.com or bleep.com?

I have an emusic account and I've found it pretty good for getting music from certain types of artists, though I'm not a fan of their pricing system.

But not every awesome band out there is signed to a minor or independent label. Sometimes I want the latest pop goodness or to listen to some guitar band I was too young to appreciate back in the '80s. And then, only iTunes (or a so far non-existent similar online music store) will suffice.

  • Eating Media Lunch,

There is no need to upload on YouTube. TVNZ are putting EML online in full.

I'm just going to have a quiet chuckle here.

  • 12,000 views of Kiwi music on YouTube in…,

12,000 views on YouTube sounds really impressive, but a friend of mine has had that many in three months for a video demonstrating how to tie a tie.

  • Stink Bro,

I don't think that anyone has mentioned the worst thing about Bro'Town yet: all the people who now add "ow!" to the end of everything they say.

Y'all may be interested to know the origins of "ow". It's a contraction of the Maori word ehoa, meaning something akin to bro or mate. It should technically be spelt "ea", but most non-Maori speakers probably couldn't get their mouth around that diphthong.

Ever since we got the Xtra Go Large package (unlimited downlands, fast as can be done) I haven't been able to access the Herald quickly. It can take up to a minute to load

Interesting - I've also been having trouble with the Herald lately. It's really slow to load. It seems to get caught up on the top banner ad.

Sometimes it'll load quickly, but normally it's painfully slow.

  • So what happens this time?,

On the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of every even-numbered year, elections are held for all 435 members of the United States House of Representatives and 33 or 34 of the 100 members of the United States Senate.

Um... I'm going to stay out of it and instead watch some funny videos on YouTube.

May I ask what is it that these elections are for?

I know it's not the president and I think it's something to do with the senate, but I'm not sure I know exactly what the senate is.

Is it like if New Zealand MPs were elected in a seperate election from the one who decides who is government?

Excuse my ignorance, but my knowledge of American civics is limited to Daily Show clips.

"At some point you've got to get on a plane so they can see the whites of your eyes."

We need more people like this on the telly.

Auckland has a really uneasy relationship with architecture. People seem to feel most comfortable if a building looks like a Greek temple, and if anything looks like it was built this or last century, it tends to confuse and worry people.

I expect that no matter what the design for the new stadium is, almost everyone will hate it.

There's a risk that the rush to build it will result in a shithouse design, but it might also mean that something remarkable might slip through the cracks and end up being built.

I have midnight music cravings and nowhere to fulfil them. Back when the Australian iTunes Store launched and it was possible for New Zealanders to imaginatively fill in their account details with an Australian address, I also signed up. I bought a handful of Van Halen tunes (awesome) but had to tear myself away. So the sooner it launches for real in Aotearoa, the better.

Anyone else have crashing problems with Safari on Public Address System

Not from me, but it seems to log me out after a while, which is annoying.
