All I get from TVNZ OnDemand is endless "loading". Anyone got torrent, or failing that, advice on how to get the bloody thing to work?
You might just have to wait for the video podcast or the YouTube (the latter is held up by YouTube having one of its "under maintenance". sulks.
And in the meantime you can watch the individual segments at the elusive A Taste of Media 7 page.

I found it after much looking and yes, thanks, DC red, it worked.
Russell, it's this page http://tvnz.co.nz/view/page/1684742
From the context, I think it's a first episode sampler/teaser thingy. How did you find it? Seriously, I need to know. Happily for you, it'll be there every week, but it's kind of a mystery how anyone might discover it.

Eddie - try watching the individual clips on the "A taste of Media 7" page. You will also get to hear (I believe) Craig Parker's soothing voice before each clip.
Where exactly is that page? I'm damned if I can find it.

Some of the video -- the ondemand version -- is now up via the microsite, with the MP4 podcast and the YouTube channel due this afternoon. Hopefully it won't take so long to get the content up in future.

Is there a link? I can't find the show on the TVNZ sight, as an on-demand down load.
I've been promised that the video will all be there this morning, so I'll post something when it appears.

It's a meme. Once you've been exposed, it's hard not to recognise the behaviour its referring to when you see it.
Of course. We all do it. My point was more that it doesn't look so much like actual Ninth Floor spin as the spin doctors knowing a good thing when they see it.

on a positive note, i caught a bit of TVNZ7 news at 8pm last night, it wasn't too bad. Definitely more in-depth that the tv one infotainment
I haven't managed to catch it yet, but I've heard good things from people. They don't have much in the way of resources, but if that means more news off the satellite and none of the dreaded live crosses, it's a bonus.
Oh, and Media7 went well last night. It'll be a good first show.

I rather suspect that the "Slippery John" meme wasn't actually created by Labour, but adopted from the wild. The Standard was using it as far back as December, in this YouTube clip:
The Standard uses it at every opportunity now, and there's clearly a conscious effort to do so. No Right Turn and others have used it recently too. Labour just saw a line it liked and ran it, which got it into the papers.

This was a few months back, at the beginning of "Phase I" of my conspiracy for numeracy.
The Numerista?

It's amazing how exiting these things are in the real. The tech dude and me got into a huge chin wag the even included this Internet wiring stuff being as much the guts of modern civilization as paper.
Nice. That's the second story I've heard of the humble technicians being pretty amped about the new kit they're putting in. It's so geeky ...
