Depends on your definition of "limit". ie: the amount that we can "prudently" afford to pay OR the amount the bank will let us go to.
Over the last few years they have been quire different things, although the game has all changed now

It interests me that in a world where you could probably get a majority of people to support a total ban on alcohol consumption among pregnant women, the instant that measures to improve babies' health could fall on the shoulders of everyone else, there's an uproar
If the analogy was the same you'd have to ban all alcohol consumption by everyone to stop pregnant women drinking.

The curious thing is, down the line, an artisan baker somewhere will advertise their bread as "no folic acid added" (analogy here - unpasteurised cheeses.)
Not quite the same though is it, you can still buy non-iodised salt if you choose, as I understand it non-Folic'd bread won't be allowed.
Or is that wrong ?

Yes and no, once the reserve is hit the sale is unconditional, negotiating after the auction runs the risk of all sorts of variables coming into play, emotions of the seller, other buyers who aren't in a position to particpate in auction, that buyer obviously though the extra 15k was worth it to secure the property, in the scheme of things it was 1.6% more (although 15k in your pocket is nice)
The local agent round here refuses to use Auctions, he reckons it's the best way to get the second best price for your house.
ie: you get slighty more than what the second bidder was prepared to go to, you don't find out what the highest bidder was prepared to go to

went out and bought a new bike
Try not to do what I did the first weekend I got my new MTB Russell.
Straight out to Woodhill, age and enthusiasm not matched by my skill, as a consequence the end of my collar bone is about 2-3cm from where it should be.
A friend who's a doc at North Shore A&E reckons they get half their patients from Woodhill Mountain Biking, the other half from Snowplanet !

There is a house on Western Springs Road proudly displaying hoardings for both Act's John Boscawen and the Greens' Russel Norman.
There are actually quite a few houses in the electorate (including one on Pt Chev Rd) displaying hoardings from all the "major" parties, Labour, National, Greens (always slightly smaller than the others) and Act.
How does that work ? Undecided voter's house ? Flatmates with different political views ?
